Truly amazing! DJ and Matt were great trainers and all of STK9 and Pasadena Pet Motel (Sarah and Kristen and Chris and everyone!) make you feel comfortable and know that your fur-baby is in the BEST hands. Sam LOVES going there and it shows every time we pull in the parking lot. He is excited to see his friends (human and dog) there. His training was so worth it! He is even more lovable and enjoyable now that he knows the expectations. We love the balanced approach to training and look forward to continuing this lifelong relationship with our pup and the STK9 / Pasadena Pet Motel family. If we get another fur-baby, we will for sure be repeat customers!

My 6 mo old GSD Samson just recently graduated from the On Leash Day Train Obedience program and I can't be happier with the results. It was a big investment but well worth it. DJ was great with Samson and me; she's very professional and you can tell how much she loves her students. My dog is a part of my family and will be with me until he takes his last breath and I want every day to be enjoyable. We now have the foundation of being able to communicate much better with each other. He's still the happy, goofy puppy I love but he is much more composed since he has structure and I have the tools to deal with his antics; he understands his boundaries now. We adopted a 12-month old male lab-pit bull mix who is very loving but was/is high energy and had the bad habit of jumping up on people and had a high prey drive. We had never used a trainer before for previous pups, but as we've boarded our dogs at Pasadena Pet Motel (also highly recommend) for the last 18 years, we learned about STK9 Training Co. After three weeks of training, Nash came back to us, still the loving and wonderful dog that he is, and he was able to follow basic commands and with some gentle reminders, controls his jumping habit. I'm now able to run with him and take long, relaxed walks and he no longer lunges at lizards/rabbits/squirrels and stays perfectly to my left. We try to practice the skills taught to us every day and find that as long as we (humans) are consistent with expectations, he does the rest reliably. Great communication during the training/boarding process and loved that they spent time working with us until we felt comfortable. I highly recommend STK9 and will use them in the future.

Our hounds, Belle and Dixie who are almost 3 years old, recently completed their on-leash obedience and behavioral modification training with DJ and the team. And we could not be more pleased with how successful they were with their training. Throughout their 3 weeks of training we received reports on their progress along with photos which eased our separation anxiety. On the day they came home, DJ spent 2 hours discussing what they learned and how to work with our dogs to re-enforce their obedience training. She is extremely professional and very patient as she guided us through the commands and corrections. The change in our dogs is remarkable. They are calmer, more confident and most importantly obedient! My husband and I highly recommend DJ and the team at STK9!
