As a first time puppy parent, Jared helped both me and my dog, Nash, feel comfortable with boarding. He offered to do a day train to make sure it was a good fit for us before doing an extended boarding. He is extremely knowledgeable about German Shepherds and helped me work through a few of my concerns. Over the summer, Nash stayed for a week while we were traveling. Jared sent pictures and updates, which brought me so much peace of mind while being away. Nash loves to be outside and enjoyed the fenced in yard there. Most recently, Nash was boarded while we were at the hospital for the birth of our first child. We had a scheduled induction, but Jared was willing to work with us if things didn’t go according to plan. I can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for a stress and worry free boarding experience where your dog will feel at home!

We were almost out of hope. 2 of our dogs had been immediately aggressive towards each other, had fought, and managing it had become almost impossible and very risky. Stoic Canine took them for a total of 10 days. After 5 days, we brought them home and there was a very noticeable difference. They would still growl, but it was very easy to gain control and have them stop. After the second 5 days, they've been model citizens. They are riding in the same car, entering home through the same door, in the same space without muzzles, and are currently sleeping in their kennels side by side. I never imagined it could get this good. Jared even agreed to take on our other 2 dogs and manage all 4 at the same time to watch their dynamic and help improve it. He took care of them all. He managed feeding, medicines, and their behavioral quirks all while training. He kept us up to date and was always available to answer any questions we had . We are very grateful.

Jared at Stoic Canine is someone every dog owner should work with because of his effective training methods, knowledge, and awesome communication. We found Jared in the midst of a sticky situation. He came out to our house for a free consultation and was prepared to take our dog that day if needed. The free consultation was huge because it gave us time to evaluate what was best for our dog with an expert. Some dog training services charge you just to talk to them. After meeting with him, it was extremely clear that he was more than qualified to help us with our dog, which was a huge relief. We signed up for the board and train program, which means Monday-Friday he was with Jared. Then on the weekends we had our dog back to work with him on the skills Jared taught that week. We love this program because Jared customizes it to what your dog specifically needs. Again not all dog training services will be this flexible. Our dog was loved by him and treated amazingly well while being taught the skills needed. We received daily text messages and or videos so that we could see the progress being made. Our dog was put through situations that pushed his comfort level and allowed him to work through his challenges in a very safe way. Jared was open and honest with us throughout the whole training process. He also took time to work with us to ensure we were set up for success through a set of two lessons. Jared says once you have him, you have him for life. I can attest that this is true. Every follow up question I have asked since has been promptly responded to, which is awesome. Our dog came back from Jared a better listener, and less reactive. The issues we were seeing have decreased considerably. However, if issues do arise we feel more confident knowing what to do because Jared has taught us,.and we know that he's still there willing to help in any way. If you're considering training, stop and commit. You won't be disappointed.

We had a great experience working with Jared. Super patient, knowledgeable, and really understood how to work with our dog’s reactivity to large objects. He broke things down in a way that made sense for both us and our dog, and we saw noticeable improvement in focus and responsiveness to commands. We left feeling more confident and better equipped to continue the training on our own. Highly recommend!!
