Stokes School For Dog Training

I attended the Detection Workshop at Stokes School for Dog Training this weekend in Orwigsburg, PA and highly recommend their workshops or seminars to anyone looking to troubleshoot dog behavior or learn more! Everyone who attended was very kind, and the instructor Tony is very knowledgeable. It was a lot of fun and am looking forward to attending more in the future to continue making connections and learning!

I can’t say enough good things about Tony at Stokes School for Dog Training. He has helped me so much with my dogs and given me the exact tools I needed to feel confident and successful. I know for a fact I can bring a problem to Tony and he will not only give me solutions, but also explain in depth why i’m seeing this and help me better understand. Tony is full of knowledge and he coaches in a way that feels thoughtful, strategic, and never rushed. He truly understands dogs and their behavior on a deep level. He always has their best interest in mind and also meets me where i’m at as a handler. I’m so grateful for everything he’s done for us. Highly recommend him to anyone serious about improving their dog’s behavior and building a better relationship with their dog.

I have been fortunate enough to learn from many different trainers across the United States, excelling in various disciplines, but for me, Stokes School for Dog Training is the place I would always seek for education and understanding. Not only did I train with Tony for a couple of years in the sporting world through local clubs, but I also spent several months working alongside him day in and day out with pet dogs, socialization, sport dogs, and deepening my understanding of dog behavior. We explored different training methods, techniques, and styles, discussing the pros and cons of each, and how they can be effectively applied to different dogs. You'll learn systematic methods that flow and connect across various disciplines of training. These methods do not contradict or undermine new behaviors or problem-solving strategies. Instead, they help you develop a way to address issues and, most importantly, prevent problems from occurring in your training. Tony goes above and beyond to ensure that your understanding of concepts is clear. He is always open to discussion and challenging ideas. His desire for excellence and ongoing understanding extends to his students, as he genuinely wants those around him to succeed. The camaraderie and culture you experience at Stokes School for Dog Training are unparalleled. Tony also actively seeks further education and knowledge to improve his coaching and teaching abilities. I, personally, will always consider myself a student of Stokes School for Dog Training. I strongly encourage others to seek out educational opportunities with Tony if given the chance.
