Stonnie Dennis Dog Training & Boarding

We have a high energy German Shorthaired Pointer that was out of control. Stonnie worked with us to set realistic expectations and helped us understand how to get the most out of our adventures with our dog. When it came time for pick up, Stonnie spent several hours with us to help us understand everything our dog had learned and what was needed to maintain. Everything he told and taught us was simple to understand and he answered all of our questions to help us feel more comfortable. He even took us out on an adventure hiking and exploring at his farm to see the training and everything our dog had learned in action. The overall experience was great and Stonnie was upfront and honest with us throughout the whole process. 14 hours round trip from NC meant several long days driving, but it was 100% worth it and we are already planning to send our next pup up to spend some time with Uncle Stonnie when we get him/her next year.

Although I have not had to opportunity to work with Stonnie and his family on a personal level, I have used his help and guidance to teach and raise my dog Lotus (a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever). I used Stonnie and his youtube videos to not only learn how to train my dog but also helped me to really be able to connect and love my dog. Stonnie is a very special person that has a love for dogs that is second to none. Our German Shepherd Dog spent a month with Stonnie in Kentucky. I cannot even explain to you how this transformed our dog. He is now a confident obedient pet that we can take anywhere. Ash came home fit and happy, very much used to tons of exercise. That said, you as the guardian, have to put in the work to maintain the training. He hit puberty and we were challenged by behaviors daily. Consistency is the key and Stonnie is right there alongside you with your reports in the training journal. He will comment, ask for clarification and make suggestions. Most, if not all, difficulties have already been addressed somewhere in the video library to which you have access. He will point you toward the appropriate chapter. We could not be happier to have had our dog in Stonnie’s care and will do so for any future dogs.
