Chris helped us train our first dog, a German Shepard about 15 years ago. Jessie turned out to be an amazing dog for almost 14 years. We found his card several weeks ago as we just got our new Golden Retriever in December. Having worked on a few things ourselves and finding it a struggle to even get Lilly to walk around the block, we reached out to Chris. Knowing we where planning to take a flight with Lilly to visit our Son in 10 days, we were in somewhat of a desperate way to find a trainer to help us really understand how we can work and train our new dog. Chris took Lilly in for half of the 14 day program as we were down to 9 days until the flight. We went to pick up our dog the day before the big trip and spent around 90 minutes reviewing all the training that Chris taught Lilly and was reviewing with us. Our trip started with a 3:30am wake up followed by a 1 hour car ride, 2 hours at the airport and a 4 hour flight. Let’s also mention escalators (1st time), elevators and a underground tram (1st time). Our dog Lilly was nothing short of amazing... listening to us as we followed all the training Chris showed us. We received so many compliments from fellow passengers and people at the airport. We couldn’t be more appreciative of what he has done in the 7 days and we still have 7 to go when we get back.

Stronghaus came highly recommended from a friend and I was very happy with the results! From the beginning, Chris has been very responsive and professional. I brought my 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle mix for the 2 week obedience and aggression training and have been very happy with the results! Chris changed our perceptions of how to effectively train our dog (obedience/listening, rather than bribery with treats) and has given us the tools to be the best dog owners we can be! This is a great training program and I would highly recommend it!

We have used Chris's 2 week boarding and training program with both our dogs (hound mix and mini pinscher ). Our first dog was 2 when we decided to get some outside help for his chewing and leash pulling. For our new puppy we took her when she was 9 months. Both of them have become well rounded dogs, I can't recommend his services enough. He not only trained the dogs, but he trained our family on how to use the commands. My 6 year old could walk the dog now without getting dragged around the yard. He even has an option that allows you to come back for a reinforcement session with the dog after the boarding session to address any issues that may have come up.

EXCELLENT! My husband and I are more than impressed with the obedience and leash training of our pup, Deacon. Chris's expertise made it easy for us to maintain training techniques once Deacon returned home. During our brief time with Chris, he was more than willing to answer any questions asked, as well as explain the "DOs" and "DON'Ts" of getting your dog to follow instruction and not lead. We highly recommend Stronghaus Dog Training Center and will not hesitate to contact Chris if required.
