Sugar Paws Dog Training

Could not be happier signing our puppy Nestle with Sugar Paws. He loves learning and playing in Puppy Kindergarten. The staff is very knowledgeable but more importantly differentiate their training to meet all the learners needs. They care for you puppy's and we leave each class with more confidence. I highly recommend allowing your puppy's experience Puppy Play. Nestle's bite went from being very painful to unnoticeable. Worth the investment!

We researched several different dog training locations and spoke to a handful of trusted friends after deciding on Sugar Paws and it was really the best decision we could have made for us and our puppy. After just completing Puppy Kindergarten last night, we're really happy with the results over the last six weeks! Our Welsh Springer spaniel has learned numerous basic commands in addition to getting crucial socialization time to learn skills that are so important for future behavior and obedience. Laura is professional, helpful and assertive and my fiancé and I learned many tips and basics to help us understand our dog and how we need to handle all of the different situations we may encounter. Bringing home a puppy is challenging but the skills acquired at Sugar Paws has made us all feel confident and excited about the future. We're signing up for additional classes and look forward to making our dog's life (and our life) the best it can be.

didn't really do anything for our dog. After three visits and $500 our dog exhibits the same bad behaviors and has barely improved even though we keep up with all her tips and advice on a daily basis. She kept saying he’s “genetically like this“. I mean really.. bad behavior isn’t genetics. We expected better results for $500. Absolutley kind and respectful trainer but I would go with someone else :/ (the behaviors we tried to fix were pulling the leash, barking at strangers, and barking at the doorbell. not a single one got fixed) EDIT: Honestly your response is shocking instead of offering a solution you’re just telling us we’re an exception to all the good reviews and that our experience is not valid. As quoted in the behavioral form which you had us fill out before the sessions you asked us “which behaviors would you like to CHANGE in your dog” … Now you’re saying behaviors can only be reduced and new ones introduced. That they can’t be fixed/changed?! After three sessions the trainer couldn’t even get our dog to trust her. She just kept throwing treats at him. She didn’t even touch him once. After three one hour sessions. I mean there was absolutely no progress. I wouldn’t hire a “dog trainer” to teach us *owners* skills. I could find skills online. I hire a trainer to train my dog. Not talk to us for hours and tell us what to change while throwing my dog treats to get him to trust her. Behaviors CAN most definitely be guaranteed. How do you think police dogs do their jobs. We never expected *guaranteed* results but we didn’t see ANY results. That’s why we are upset. After that much money and time we expected at least a change in the right direction however we saw none. As noted in my original review we did keep up the behaviors and skills you taught us however they did not help our dog at all. We practiced them everyday for weeks. We feel as though something more or a different approach should have been taken/suggested after the second failed session. You offered us nothing. We were hoping to see some sort of results to bring us back after three sessions but we saw nothing. The reason we did not reach out privately to discuss satisfaction is because we dont want any more training or solutions from this business because we already had a bad experience. Considering what we already invested in you it didn’t seem worth it to seek a solution from you.
