Summit Canine

I’ve boarded my dogs many other places before, but this was by far the best boarding experience they’ve ever had. Both of my dogs aren’t very dog social, and I’ve always disliked how typical boarding facilities are full of barking dogs and chaotic energy. Mike gave both of my dogs a priceless experience where they were able to make friends in a structured environment and learn how to be around other dogs. This was such a great experience! Between the daily video and photo updates, and the progress my dogs made over the course of 5 days, this was the most comfortable I’d ever been leaving my dogs in the care of anyone else. I used to feel like I had to avoid boarding my dogs at all costs, but I can’t wait to take them back next time!

They completely turned our dog around! He now comes to us when called, and can stay calm in one place for an extended period of time. Mike also showed us how to keep up the training at home. Would recommend. We took Tucker to Summit Canine for boarding and training while we were off on vacation for a week and a half. Tucker had been purposefully ignoring our commands, as teenagers do, and we had no idea how to correct it. He also was very excitable around humans but nervous around other dogs. Hailey sent us videos of him playing with other dogs and building his confidence. And Mike sent videos of Tucker’s progress with commands. We also got a report every day of his activity level, stool, and water/food intake. On our way home with him they gave us an e-collar and leash. Although he’s not as good at home as he was for them, he’s made some great progress and we now have more tools to continue training. *our pup did contract kennel cough from the boarding experience, however, that’s to be expected, and very common with boarding facilities that take many dogs.
