Sundance Retrievers

My family and I couldn’t be more impressed by Sundance Retrievers. Their facilities are clean and well maintained. Their knowledge and experience with breeding and training the dogs is apparent. Sheryl is very responsive to all communications and always answers any questions we may have. We were able to visit the facility a couple months ago (before all the quarantines began). Sheryl had the pups we wanted to see ready and we had ample time to spend with them to get a feel for their personalities. We are now patiently waiting for our pup to complete training so we can bring her home.

We picked up our companion dog about a week ago, which means we're only halfway through the 15 day training guide. So far, our sweet, sweet Luke (formerly known as Bob) is the most wonderful puppy for our family. He sleeps happily in his crate at night, responds really well to the daily training we follow and is so well behaved when we spot neighbors walking their dogs (currently social distancing due to the Corona pandemic so a slightly different than "normal" expectation). At only 6 months old Luke will hold a sit for my entire (for him probably boring) conversation with a neighbor across the road, even while other dogs bark or act up and he probably would have preferred to keep walking. Luke is also very good at posing for pictures. 😉 Keep in mind if you read some other reviews, if you add a young dog to your family, pre-trained or not, it will require hard work and consistency, every single day. Only a week in it's already so rewarding as we're starting to know and trust each other and our new routines. 5 stars is not enough for Sundance Retrievers, we're beyond happy with our Luke. ❤️
