Superhero Dog Academy LLC

We chose to work with Superhero Dog Academy because we had heard a lot of great stories from coworkers who had worked with Libby. Our puppy, Mieke, was just about 4 months old when we started sessions and we wanted to make sure she learned good behaviors early on. We were struggling with pulling and losing attention during walks, as well as learning simple commands. Mieke is our first dog, so we wanted all the help we could get! Libby's approach was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to use positive reinforcement and gentle reminders instead of the dominant "alpha" methods some other trainers use. With Superhero Dog Academy, we learned how to be a team and appreciate each other - the key to a great owner/dog relationship! Libby was really in tune with how to teach our pup (and us!) to work together and be patient while learning new skills. I really appreciated her feedback during our sessions on what we were doing well and how to improve areas we were struggling in. She also gave us great background and stories to explain dog behaviors. She helped mold us to work with Mieke and gave us "homework" to work on between sessions - things that she had shown us how to do during our sessions that we would practice through the week on our own. It was so helpful! We also reached out multiple times via text when some scary things, like a night in the animal ER and a large red bump after she got spayed, happened. Libby was quick to respond with helpful and supportive information. Even though Mieke falls back into bad habits sometimes, we now have the foundation to continue to work on skills with her and recognize what's challenging for her. She knows a lot of tricks now, but most importantly she stays with us on walks, comes when she's called, and we have learned to recognize her behaviors and what they mean. We're so happy to have found Libby and Superhero Dog Academy!

We were among many others that got a puppy during the COVID lockdown and delayed formal training for over a year. We needed help with excessive barking, leash training, over-excitement, and distractions. When I finally started searching for puppy training classes, they were all booked out for weeks and/or outrageously high priced multi-week training programs. Finally, I was referred to Libby and enrolled in one of her all-inclusive packages with one-on-one sessions plus boarding, which was a great deal. She has been AMAZING! She truly teaches YOU to be a dog teacher to your pup, how to understand dog language, and communicate to them in a very positive way. Libby is so reliable and makes training very fun and individualized. She is worth every penny spent!
