Phil has a passion for helping pet owners understand their pets needs and motivations. He explains the science behind all the behaviors that our dogs have and how to give them what they need in order to be happy and well adjusted. I am very pleased with Pumpkin's puppy head start there at Supreme Canine for the two week camp. And the most important part is that Phil is training me to be the best pet parent that I can be for Pumpkin.

We called several different potential trainers for our unique situation. What made Phil stand out is the way he spoke about dogs/training. It seems several are just out to make a lot of money with training techniques that may work okay, but they don’t take into account the specific dog and breed. Phil was easy to talk to, very communicative, and adjusted for our specific needs. We had two Golden Retrievers that lived outside. Our girl, Ellie, passed away from cancer, and it was all very abrupt. Henry, our 6 year old male, was raised outside and only knew life outside with Ellie. We wanted to transition him inside with us and knew we would need specialized help to do so successfully. Phil was an absolute godsend. He has a true for love for dogs and sees their individual needs based on personality and breed. He’s been accommodating (he offers transportation - and his van is awesome), personable, and has expert knowledge when it comes to dogs and training. The best part though is that Phil truly cares and is a kind human, something that can be a little harder to find these days. We will absolutely use Phil in the future for boarding and training needs. Henry transitioned beautifully inside with us. We both agree that he’s a bit of a quirky dog 😂😂, but Phil was the exact guy we needed to help us during the transition! Thank you, Phil!! Sending four month old german shepherd to the Puppy Head Start program was one of the best decisions I've made, for both myself and my pup. Phil approaches training with a foundation of psychology and understanding dog behaviors. It is not just "sit, click, treat". He goes much more in depth in catering to what each breed needs. For my german shepherd, he got her off on the right "paw" in basic obedience and "manners"; helping her become the best companion possible while he also taught me to become the best dog owner as possible. Phil is genuinely passionate about dogs and his profession and it shows in his work. I highly recommend having Phil teach your dog, and yourself, to build an amazing relationship with your canine.
