Sweet Cream Goldens

I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Sweet Cream Goldens! Heather and Bart were absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. Throughout the entire process, I had so many questions, and they not only answered every one of them promptly, but also took the time to provide thoughtful, detailed answers and always willing to help no matter how many questions I had. When it came time to choose between two of the puppies, we found ourselves going back and forth because both were absolutely amazing, and choosing felt nearly impossible! Heather was so patient and supportive throughout that process. She even took the time to FaceTime with us and provide additional information about both puppies to help us make the best decision for our family. It was very clear that Heather and Bart genuinely cared about finding the right puppy and the right fit for each family. On top of all of that, when we took our puppy to her first vet appointment, our vet made several comments about how clearly well cared for she was and how you could tell she came from a wonderful, responsible breeder. That really reinforced everything we had already experienced with Sweet Cream Goldens. I would—and absolutely will—recommend Sweet Cream Goldens to everyone! We are so grateful for the care, communication, and thoughtfulness they put into everything they do. We couldn’t be happier with our puppy!

Heather & Bart I wanted to share the unconditional love of an English Cream Golden Retriever with any new client that is thinking of getting a new family member for their home. Madelyn was a beautiful puppy produced from Ella & Casanova's Dream. I trained her to pay forward love only a golden retriever could give. We worked with Alzheimer's patients however Madelyn tended to migrate toward sad people and down syndrome children at dog parks or just in public areas. My favorite interaction with Madelyn was with a cerebral palsy boy who was in a reclining wheelchair, Madelyn waited patiently next to his wheelchair while his mother reached for his hand and placed it on Madelyn head. He was so happy his mother started crying then I started crying. That's unconditional love!!! I had an American Golden who died in my arms Thanksgiving 2012 of cancer... I loved her so much I wanted to pay forward her love. I researched Golden Retrievers and learned the American Golden was created by mating the original English Cream with an Irish Setter in 1904. I read that American Goldens were likely to die of cancer at 68% whereas the English were likely to die of cancer at 32% due to careful breeding practices. Madelyn never meant a stranger and even tried to comfort the doctor that put her down. I'm very much looking forward to my next service dog and I'm confident Heather & Bart will help me pick the perfect puppy's personality to move forward with this work.

We absolutely love our Sweet Creme Golden Retriever. He is such a well tempered dog and truly a blessing. Heather and Bart were the perfect breeders to get our puppy from. They were helpful in answering all of our questions and allowing us to visit an earlier litter so we could gauge whether this would be the right puppy for us. They were flexible as our timeline changed and although happy to help us get one of the puppies there was never any pressure. Heather kept us informed during the pregnancy and once the puppies were born as well as sending lots of updates and pictures as the puppies grew. Our dog is a beautiful animal and the standards and care they apply to the breeding is obvious. The Orth’s professionalism and love for the Sweet Creme Golden breed made our experience wonderful. I highly recommend their puppies and guarantee you will not regret it!

Bart & Heather are wonderful to work with, They truly do this because they love it! And our sweet golden is so gentle, she responds to training quicker than any other dog we’ve had, and just wants to please! We barely had to teach her how to be gentle around little ones, and she naturally lays down on her belly with her face on the ground whenever babies, toddlers, or kittens are around! I believe it’s the breeding that has contributed to such an intelligent and gentle dog! We would work with them again, hands-down, if we ever need another golden.
