Sweet Cream Goldens

In Early January we lost my beloved Service Dog, an American Golden Retriever named Max at only 3 1/2 years old, and was in desperate need of a new Service Puppy. A friend of ours has two male English Cream Goldens from Pastor Orth and Heather at Sweet Cream Goldens, and suggested that we give them a try. We wanted an English Cream Retriever because I read that they have a reduced risk of cancer, and they’re calmer as well as healthier overall, on average. After going online and reading everything on their website, I decided that was exactly what we needed to do. When they say that they want to serve you, they mean it. It was an extensive process trying to narrow down which Momma dog we wanted to go with. Due to this puppy hopefully being a Service Dog one day, I had so many questions about the dog’s health and temperament! Pastor Orth had patience with me, and understood what was at stake. We chose Nora Sugar Petal and Maverick to be the parents of our little Charlie. We ended up doing Temperament Testing on the puppies. I’m in a wheelchair, and we were given some extra time to pick out our puppy because of our circumstances. Everyone was very understanding! The kind lady that whelped Charlie’s Litter was there to tell us all about each puppy! It made choosing Charlie much easier than it would’ve been otherwise! Charlie is now 14 weeks old. He knows the commands Sit, Down, Settle, Side, Up, Find Her, Paws Up/Down, Kisses, Shake, Look and Focus, Left, With Me, Wait and more.. We’re working on Leave It, Come, Stay, Auto-Focus and more.. I say this only to show how incredibly intelligent these puppies are! Charlie has a beautiful bond with us already, loves Everyone, is great with small children, good with other dogs, is quite calm most of the time, and incredibly loving and intelligent. Charlie is also very human centered. All of these qualities are by design. Their dogs are breed with intention. Pastor and Heather Orth have built their breeding business on integrity and balancing doing what’s right for the dogs and their Guardian Families with doing what’s best for the people who will be the forever families of their Beautiful Puppies.. On a personal level, after having Charlie over a month, I received some news about something that could affect my health dramatically. I reached out to Pastor Orth and Heather for Prayer, and they are praying for me! Completely above and beyond what I could expect from basically any other breeder out there. We cannot recommend Sweet Cream Goldens enough! We had been looking into getting an ECGR pup for a few months, and we searched and researched breeders all over Idaho. Then one day, Sweet Cream Goldens, near Spokane, WA, popped up in our search. We read everything on their website, watched all their videos, and read the bios on all the mama dogs and studs. We found ourselves going back to their website multiple times a day. We sent Bart and Heather a message and asked if we could video chat, and we did. They are so kind, helpful, and friendly. We talked about their breeding program, their dogs, the upcoming litters, and they asked what activities and traits we were looking for in a puppy. We knew after that—we were all in! From the very beginning, the Orth family was absolutely wonderful to work with! We were contacted when the litter was born, and every single week we received an update about all the puppies, along with multiple pictures. During the last few weeks, they included individual videos of each puppy in the litter. Their letters contained all the updates and everything we needed to know to get ready for our pup♥️ The communication throughout the entire process was excellent, and you can truly see how much love, care, and dedication they put into raising their dogs.
