Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear you were satisfied with the care and attention your dogs received during boarding, as the well-being of every dog in our facility is our top priority. That said, we’d like to respectfully clarify a few points regarding your concerns with our training services: From the very beginning, our policies—including the non-refundable nature of our training programs—were clearly communicated to you at orientation and in writing. However, we also explained our flexibility in allowing the transfer of services, which we offered in your case to ensure you received full value for your investment. Regarding the decision to bring home two puppies at once, we strongly advised against this due to the risks of littermate syndrome—a stance we consistently maintain as professional dog trainers. Despite this, you moved forward with both puppies, and later decided to return one to the breeder. That decision was made after our team conducted a thorough evaluation and observed clear signs of discomfort and possible trauma in the second puppy, likely caused by a poor ear cropping procedure. We notified you immediately once these issues were identified. At no point during your time in our program did you express direct dissatisfaction with our training. Your concerns seemed more focused on your personal regret in purchasing two puppies, not with the quality of training or service provided by Szegi Haus K9. It’s also worth noting that, although you had unused training credits available, you chose to use those towards standard boarding for a separate dog, rather than applying them towards training for Greycy—the Cane Corso puppy you mentioned struggling with. You also attempted multiple times to sell your credits to future clients and or returning clients; This was successful in one avenue as one of our returning clients purchased 10 sessions from your credits. Had those credits been used for Greycy’s training, we believe she would have benefitted greatly. Lastly, we take pride in our transparent communication and screening process, including the mandatory orientation you participated in, which is designed to ensure that both parties are aligned before training begins. Describing our program as “overpriced” is surprising, given that the full training services were not fully utilized and key recommendations from our team were not followed. Our approach only works when there’s a strong partnership between trainers and owners, and we did our best to guide and support you every step of the way.
