I've been taking my dogs to Tails a Wagging for 15+ years for daycare and training. They are the best and I trust them above all others with my dog's safety and wellbeing.

Do you have herding classes?
Although they do not offer a herding specific class, they do teach Wag It! Games which incorporated Treibball, a herding specific sport.
Community answer · Angi Lenz · 2021-09-21
Tails does not offer herding classes. The best way to get started in herding would be to visit a local herding trial and observe the handlers, see whose style looks like something you might enjoy learning and then asking them if they are a trainer themselves or if they can recommend one. You will see many different styles in use in herding, make sure you look for a trainer that you feel comfortable with. Ask if you can observe a lesson or two that they have with another client and make sure their style will work for you and your dog. I take my dog for lessons once in awhile just for fun, our trainer teaches in Arlington.

We have been taking our dog Lucy to Tails a Wagging since she was just a puppy and it is her absolute favorite place to go! Every time we pull into the driveway she gets so excited and can’t wait to get through the door to greet everyone. She comes home nice and tired after a day of playing and is always happy to return. This says ALOT about the love and care she receives while being there. Angie is amazing and great at communicating with us whenever there’s an issue and always has solutions to offer. The staff is awesome as well, they are always so nice and helpful! Thank you TAW for everything you do and loving all of our dogs so much!
I wouldn’t trust any other daycare/training place with my pup Olive! Truly amazing workers who are all so kind and dedicated to your dog. I hightly recommend 10/10 experience!
Angi and the team have been such a wonderful part of both my dogs’ lives. Newt and Doug have had their share of puppy escapades and the staff have always shown such patience and kindness with them. We so appreciate Tails! Positive, loving and very professional ❤️

Angela Lenz - the owner of Tails A Wagging - is truly a dog whisperer. I've never met anyone that understands the language of dogs better than she does. She generously shares her knowledge, and helps every dog owner she encounters, whether they are clients, customers, or just someone who has a dog and needs some help and could benefit from everything she knows. Our dog has taken more than 10 classes and every trainer Angela hires shares her outlook on positive reinforcement and the joy that training and bonding brings to both the dog and their human. Tails A Wagging is a safe place for dogs, and the humans that love them. Highly Recommend. All the Paws Up!
