I am ready to begin dog training today, but worried that they wont adapt. If a dog fails at Take Flight, do you offer any solutions for dogs who are too nervous for your program??
Your dog's well-being is always our top priority. Should your dog become anxious in an over-demanding situation and not adapt after all the effort made, then it is possible that dog training is not going to fit their coping styles. We always tell dog parents if their pet can not overcome their environmental fears or coping tools. Unfortunately there is no fixing these situations! A suggestion can be made for the client to connect with a veterinarian and dog therapist, so there will still be people watching your pets every behavior but it wont necessarily be dog training.

Amazing results! Back story...My Ollie is a poodle mix rescue with a hands-off past. Although he was almost 2 yeas old, I don't think he had ever had a relationship with a human. Once he had a real home, he suffered from terrible separation anxiety and lacked basic manners and understanding. He didn't know how to go up steps, get in a car, understand basic sounds of a home, etc. He was A LOT and it was so bad, I thought a lot about rehoming Ollie, but felt he had been through enough. That's where Take Flight enters the story. I was new to town, so I followed comments about area trainers on F'book and Jess and Take Fight kept popping up. I reached out and was immediately impressed with their communication, knowledge and professionalism. After discussing his specific issues, I committed to send Ollie to a 4 week onsite training session. I appreciated the frequent progress videos and messages, our trip to the vet together to discuss Ollie's anxiety and on-site sessions to demonstrate Ollie's progress and train "me"! I also appreciated the tools sent home to add in his continued progress. Ollie has been home over 2 months and Jess continues to meet with us to tweak "our" training. He is a much happier, confident, better behaved dog and my best buddy and travel companion! My friends and family are amazed at his progress as am I. I highly recommend Jess and her entire staff!

We have been taking private lessons with Jess for a few months. He is reactive to strangers and dogs. He also suffers from separation anxiety. Jess is very patient with me and him. Spade has also attended trainer's daycare at take flight! Jess, Chloe, and the rest of the crew are very nice and helpful!

My 2 pups have stayed multiple times at Take Flight Dog Training, and have enjoyed every time! They are great with the dogs and send pics/updates throughout the stay. This is the only place I leave my pups when we are gone. I’d definitely recommend Take Flight Dog Training for training and boarding!
