Tame Dog Training & Boarding

Matt and his trainers were amazing!! I brought my 1 year old German Shepherd to him because she was showing signs of aggression and being too over protective when strangers approached me. She even had animal control called on us due to her being aggressive with a neighbor. I did have her trained when she was 6 months with a positive reward based program which worked for obedience but it really wasn't enough for what my dog needed. After training with Matt, I have been able to walk my dog only on her e-collar in open areas with her responding very well and staying very close to me. She has not lunged at any bikes, cars, kids, or strangers at all. She had trouble with that before. Her temperament is definitely better, and she is less anxious when I am not around or have to step away. Their training facility itself was also great. Dogs had plenty of space to roam and train. When I came to pick her up after 2 weeks, she looked healthy and well and was able to show me what she learned right away. Matt and staff also sent me lots of updates and pictures about my dog while I was away. They were very responsive to all my questions. Worth the money and would definitely recommend!!!

Matt Ganim and the Tame Dog Training staff exceeded all of my expectations! I sent my 1 year old German Shepherd Mix dog through the Standard Off-Leash Program(17 days). Before I sent my dog to training, he was reactive towards cars, people, and other dogs. Matt and his staff sat down with me before the training and listened to my concerns and needs for the training. Their staff keeps you informed along the way with pictures and updates on the progress of your dog while in the program. At the end of the 17 days, my dog was completely transformed for the better. Better around dogs, cars, and people. Matt not only trains your dog but also trains the owner how to better care and train their dogs as well. I have since used Tame Dog Training for boarding and experienced the same professional and top-notch training as the program. I have recommended their services to friends and family and will definitely use them again for future training and boarding needs.

Sending our goldendoodle to Matt and his team at Tame Dog Training has been the best investment we have made in our dog! We have now sent him through two of their courses: we sent him as a puppy, where they successfully taught him obedience fundamentals that allowed us to immediately break him of jumping, puppy biting, etc.. We had no hesitation to send him back at about 14 months old for more advanced training and learning boundaries after my wife and I had a baby. We have been very happy with the results and very strongly recommended it to anyone considering it. They also offer boarding to previous clients, which is a no brainer because they work on reviewing the concepts from the dog's initial training course(s) while they are there. Finally, I'll add that we are only one of many people I know that have sent their dog to tame dog training and the positive results are consistent across the board. Very highly recommended.

We adopted a GSD last year that is a big sweet heart but, she grew more and more aggressive to strangers and other dogs. Just vicious. We couldn't find a pet sitter, trainer, or trust her around anyone. Even when I dropped her off for training at Tame Dog the first day she was trying to attack the trainer but, within 2 minutes she was settled down and hasn't done that since. She won't even run after rabbits.

We had an excellent experience with Matt and his team at Tame Dog Training. After previously sending our pup to another local trainer and not seeing much improvement we set out to find someone that could work with us to have a better relationship with our dog, Ruthie. Luckily Matt was able to help us select the right training and guide us through how Ruthie would benefit from his knowledge and passion. We absolutely loved that there were both mid-training and post-training human training so that we could acclimate to what Ruthie had learned. We were also so thankful that we could bring our almost 3 year old daughter to training with us and she was entertained by Matt’s daughter who also taught us and Ruthie a few things. We are expecting to have a more “Tame” doggy that our daughter will enjoy being around without the fear of being jumped on. I want to send a huge thank you to Matt and the whole Tame team!!
