Tamed Tail

Kenrick was great with my Boerbel : South African mastiff...he is a rescue will be 4 in August. The breed is smart protective and has the highest bite psi of any breed. I have 3 grandchildren that he( Puddlles) was at best leary of. He is a very intelligent and strong dog...but apprehensive and jumpy. Kenrick took his time and he understood Puddles better . He responds to commands and is generally a more calm dog. Kenrick taught him to be compliant and responsive to the training. He was there beyond the 8 weeks with Kenrick s suggestion. He took his time to complete the training process. My second dog is a labradoodle who is 14. Kenrick gave us insight into dealing with both dogs. I would highly recommend him for aggressive anxious dogs that just need someone to get through to them.

Let me start by saying my dog doesn’t like people. She’s also a Mastiff mix and can get pretty aggressive. She finds most people to be a threat to me and the family. It takes at least 30 min for her to get used to new people and feel safe with them. I never boarded her because I was worried she wouldn’t feel safe and would have a hard time adjusting. I worried she would be aggressive. When she met the owner of Tamed Tail, I knew she would be just fine. After just a few sniffs, her tail was wagging and I was able to breathe again. He has a calm comforting presence with dogs that you would hope to get at a training and boarding facility, but don’t always get. I will absolutely use them again. They will probably be the only place I use. I couldn’t be more happy. Next stop, training my sweet beast.

At first I didn’t believe two weeks of training would help me see any major changes in my high energy pitbull pup. However, when Kratos came home after the two weeks were over he was a completely different dog, and in a good way! He didn’t jump on any furniture when he got home, he was calm and listened to my commands (something I wasn’t used to!). Walking him has been so much easier too since he learned to walk at my pace instead of drag me down the block LOL. I look forward to continue training with Ken and making Kratos the best version of himself that he can be. Thank you Tamed Tail and Kenrick!
