Taming the Wild

Our good boy Milo was struggling with some boundaries and commands as we have a house full of young boys. We were recommended to Taming the Wild by two of my wife coworkers, who we are so grateful for! We chose the boarding and training package as it met the needs of what we needed. Ashley was his trainer and we couldn’t have been more lucky to have such a caring and understanding trainer for our goofy guy. She was great with updates that reassured us he was turning a corner with his training and a happy pup while we were away. Her breakdown of commands / practices and reinforcements to keep up with his behavior while back home were simple and easily communicated with multiple resources to reference, if we were to forget any. He’s still the same goof ball we dropped off but with much better manners and boundary understanding! Can not recommend highly enough. Thank you Taming the Wild and Ashley 🙏 🐾 ❤️

My shepherd, Cheeto, went through the 4-week advanced board and train program. Weighing in at nearly 80 pounds, and possessing a stubborn personality, he was very difficult to walk and constantly jumping on people. Although, he is not aggressive, his size, deep bark, and appearance were intimidating. I feared for his safety, that if he got loose, a stranger would assume he was vicious. McKenzie was awesome with Cheeto. He is now an excellent boy on a leash, who is a joy to walk, and has stopped jumping on people. She also taught him to obey commands off leash, giving him extra freedom for walks on trails. Unnecessary barking, that would wake the neighbors, has also been fixed. He investigates before barking. I would definitely recommend buying your dog a "place cot" after training at TTW. Cheeto loves his cot and chooses to sleep on it, instead of begging to be on the furniture. 10 out of 10 recommend Taming the Wild.

We made the hard decision to sent our golden retriever Early to the reactive dog Board and Train program after he bit our family member. He had always had issues with reactivity towards other dogs, cars and strangers and was an anxious boy. We felt so limited in where we could take him because of his behavior and after he bit someone we now felt like we couldn't even have people over to our house. After the board and train program, Early was noticeably more calm and trusting. He is so much better on walks and can hold a heel when we walk past other dogs. We were even able to bring him on a camping trip and feel like we have control over him, which put everyone at ease. Because of Taming the Wild and our amazing trainer Ashley, we now feel like we can take him places and do fun things with him again. Ashley was so communicative with us the entire time and the photo updates were great when we were missing him. Thanks to all the staff and trainers!

I can't express enough how amazing Emma and Sydney at Taming the Wild are! We brought our senior dog, Max, in last minute, and they were so accommodating, offering us exceptional customer service from start to finish. Max is an elderly dog with some special care needs, and they went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable, safe, and well looked after during his stay. The facility was spotless, which immediately put our minds at ease. It’s clear they prioritize cleanliness and the well-being of the animals they care for. Max received plenty of attention, and we could tell he was in great hands by the way Emma and Sydney handled him with such gentle care and attention to detail. What really stood out to us was their willingness to work with us on such short notice. It’s not every day you find a place that is not only flexible but also takes the time to make sure your dog’s unique needs are met. It’s so reassuring knowing we can count on them for future services! We will definitely be coming back for Max’s care, and we’ll be recommending Taming the Wild to all our friends and family.
