Taming the Wild Side Dog Training

Terri is an absolute expert and lover of all things dogs! My husband and I really wanted a positive training experience for our golden retriever. He has come to LOVE training and we have seen major progress from Taming the Wild Side’s group puppy training classes. Terri provides homework and skills to work on throughout the week that we have seen our dog take to so positively. We highly recommend trying it out if you’re considering! We hope to continue to train and build Shep’s confidence into the great dog he is becoming!

Terri is an excellent trainer, she knows dogs and people and has taught us how to teach our puppy. I love the structure of the puppy class. We focus on a skill each week, and then practice that at home so we can build on it in class the following week. Terri is great at reading dogs' body language, breaking skills down so dogs and their people are successful, and providing individualized feedback in the moment. I also appreciate how Terri gives real world examples for how to apply skills learned in class to everyday situations. For example, working on "leave it" for a kibble in class, then generalizing that to socks at home. I worked with a trainer I loved years ago, so I was a little nervous when we got a puppy after we moved and it was time to find someone new. I am so pleased we found Taming the Wild Side!
