Tarheel Canine Training Inc

I would highly recommend Tarheel Canine to anyone looking for a place to take their pup/dog for obedience training. My bf and I have sent our three dogs through their training and we couldn’t be much happier. I just picked up our GSD pup about three weeks ago and she has changed 180. She now has manners and has calmed down a lot! One of the things I really liked about this place was how on top of things Cierra was regarding my GSD. I also like that you pay a flat rate for their training and your dog doesn’t leave till they (TC) feel that your dog has learned everything even if it takes a few extra weeks. Overall, my bf and I are very happy with our experiences and recommend this place to anyone.

We were taking private lessons but can't give them a positive rating, sorry, but was hoping I could have. They just don't follow through and have horrible communication skills. I'm sure the owner knows what he's doing (though he is an arrogant individual but I could deal with that) but the problem is that he doesn't take part in anything. The training is done by kids (I assume they're students of Tarheel Canine) and everything is theoretical not practical and focused. The reason I brought my dog there was never even seriously addressed. Everything they attempted were routine types of things not focused on what the issue was. They don't LISTEN to what you're telling them. In fact, often it seemed they didn't even have a plan of action when we arrived and nothing was ever adequately communicated from them. There is no structure or focus, no real plan, etc. It always seemed the kids were overwhelmed and just unsure of what they were doing. I have had to resort to taking matters into my own hands. *Had they even attempted to communicate their plan(?) and worked "WITH ME" and my dog then we would probably still go since there was some benefit in it (hence the 2 stars), but under the circumstances its just a waste of time and money. Get CONTROL over things and I'll be back and update my rating. I didn't dislike you people personally, but your focus and communication skills have GOT to improve.
