Teacher's Pet K-9 School

Our experience at Teachers Pet K-9 School was great. Kim really does have a passion for dogs and it shows. Her confidence gives you the confidence to tackle training with any breed. She truly wanted everyone to succeed in class. She helped train our first dog over 12 years ago. When we got our new puppy, Kim was our first choice for training our new family member. She always made sure everyone understood before she moved on to anything new. 10 out of 10 recommend! 🤩

Kim is an awesome trainer. She is so knowledgeable about the different breeds and she is really good with high energy breeds such as Shepards, Dobermans and Rottweilers. She takes extra time if needed when you and your pup are struggling in class and offers extra help and recommends different types of collars based off the breed of your dog and what usually works better for them. My pup has come so far in just 7 weeks. Already signed up for the next set of classes.

When we moved to Sycamore with our German Shepherd’s from out of state we were pretty concerned about finding the right place for doggie day care and boarding services. We came across Kim and the Teacher’s Pet K-9 School, might actually be one of the main reasons we moved to Sycamore. Kim has always taken good care of our fur babies and become a great friend over the last 9 years. She was there for us when our two passed over the rainbow bridge to the dog park in the sky. A little over a year ago we adopted a new fur baby and took classes from Kim for basic and intermediate obedience. She did a great job working with each pair of participants in the classes we attended. You always have homework / practice to do each week. There’s always 1 or 2 that think they don’t need to practice the weeks lesson and they always standout in class, but that never stopped Kim from working with them even though it was probably on things that they should have been proficient in after a few weeks of training. You aren’t going to play like Jimmy Hendricks after 2 or 3 guitar lessons and zero practice. It takes LOTS of dedication and practice to train a furry companion regardless of the size/breed. If you are looking for doggie day care, boarding services or dog (human) training, Kim and the Teacher’s Pet K9 School is an excellent choice. Be prepared to learn, put in the work and you will have one heck of a trained companion!! Thanks for everything Kim!!
