We were looking for a way to help our Rottweiler Thor, manage his dog-related aggression. That’s when we found Sam Ivy. At first, we were a bit hesitant about online training because I wasn’t entirely sure I could handle correcting his behavior. But knowing I could always go back to the recorded sessions gave me peace of mind. Plus, I was a little worried about finding a trainer who truly understood how Rottie training is different from training other breeds, especially since they can be a bit stubborn. But we were lucky enough to be paired with Hollie, and she’s been an absolute lifesaver! She gently corrected me when I was doing something wrong, which helped Thor understand that I’m the leader, not him or the trainer. Now, I feel so much better about our walks, knowing I can keep him in check around other dogs. He’s also starting to get the hang of how to behave on walks. We’re planning to keep training going, and we’re hoping to start Tier 2 once we’ve had a few months of Tier 1 under our belt. Thanks again for your help, Hollie!

We had an amazing experience with Hollie at SamIvy Dog Training. Hollie is knowledgeable, patient, and truly understands dogs and their behavior. From the very first session, we saw improvements and felt more confident as owners. She explains everything clearly and tailors the training to both the dog and the family, which made a huge difference for us. Our only regret is not starting sooner! This training was the best I’ve ever had. I was skeptical at first because of the “on line” aspect but it worked better than in person! I’ve had many dogs in my life time but this trained ME to be able to train my dog. I have a hyperactive 3 y/o yellow lab. I needed to learn to be the “alpha” and then things began to change. My dog now follows direction. Gina was my trainer and she was so informative and supportive. She has been training dogs with sam ivy for a long time and is excellent! I highly recommend her if you are lucky enough to fit in her schedule!

We came to Samivy after a scary, one-off incident where our dog Bella bit our toddler. It only happened once, but after having Bella for years, we honestly considered rehoming her. Instead, we decided to give training one chance. We looked at several options and ended up choosing Samivy—even though we were a bit nervous about the virtual format. Surprisingly, training Bella in her own space actually helped her learn much faster than we expected. After the very first session, we noticed real changes. We just graduated a few weeks later, and Bella is truly a different dog—in all the best ways. Our trainer, Hollie, was incredible. She made the whole process simple, gave us confidence every step of the way, and the best part is that we still have access to her for support even after the sessions ended. If you’re thinking about training your dog—whether it’s to fix a concerning behavior or simply to create better habits—I can’t recommend Samivy enough. They genuinely helped our family, and we’re so grateful.
