We cannot recommend SamIvy Dog Training and Ryann enough! We enrolled in the service dog training program when our Samoyed was just 12 weeks old, and after consistently working through the program for about 7 months, the difference has been incredible. Our puppy is now 9 months old, and people are constantly shocked to hear that she’s still a puppy because of how calm, well-mannered, and well-behaved she is. When we first brought our puppy home, we honestly had no idea what we were doing. Ryann was a lifesaver from day one. She gave us practical guidance and tips that we could implement immediately, and it felt like every time we had a question or ran into a new puppy challenge, she had a solution that actually made sense. She didn’t just teach our dog commands — she taught us how to communicate with and understand our dog. That completely changed our relationship with her. One of the most valuable parts of the program was learning how to recognize what our puppy needed and how to give her the right structure, routine, enrichment, and communication. The structure the program provides alone is incredible, on top of all the obedience, behavioral, and service skills we were able to build. We went from feeling like clueless first-time puppy owners to feeling confident in how to guide and communicate with our dog. Ryann was also incredibly supportive outside of our scheduled training sessions. She was always available to answer questions, talk through something that came up, or help us figure out how to handle a new behavior. That level of support made us feel like we were never navigating puppyhood alone. We also loved that the program is fully virtual. We are located in Texas and it wasn’t a problem at all to be in a different state than our trainer. Rather than handing our puppy over to someone else to train, we were the ones doing the work every day, with Ryann there to guide us. We truly believe that made such a difference in the bond we developed with our puppy. The training wasn’t just about creating a well-trained dog — it helped us build a beautiful relationship with her that we know will last her entire life. If you’re considering service dog training, behavioral/obedience training, or you’re simply bringing home a new puppy and want to start off on the right foot, we highly recommend SamIvy and Ryann. We learned SO much, our puppy has completely blossomed, and the relationship we’ve built with her is priceless. We had Jennifer as our trainer! We had what felt like an impossible situation to solve. Two agreesive young male dogs that were out to quite literally kill each other. But Jennifer didnt let that happen! She was direct, precise and sooo patient. Our two boys can be in the same room together! We didnt think it was possible, and on top of that, they learned many every day habits that make everyone's live easier. Thank you so much Jennifer and Team Ivy ❤️

I can’t thank my trainer, Alysia, at SamIvy enough! She gave me so many practical tools, tips, and strategies that have given me a completely new level of confidence as my dog and I navigate life together in a new city. My dog is 6.5 years old, and after moving to a new city and apartment, she was suddenly facing so many new and unpredictable situations—other dogs in the lobby, skateboards on the sidewalk, rolling carts, and noises in the hallway. She would even run toward our apartment door whenever she heard another dog outside. I often felt overwhelmed and unsure of how to handle these situations. Alysia took the time to practice these scenarios with us, give thoughtful feedback, answer all of my questions, and talk through how to handle situations that might come up in the future. She also helped me reintroduce the crate as a positive tool for regulation and a safe space, and introduced us to “spot” training, which has been a complete game changer in our apartment. My dog now has a clear place to go and settle instead of running to the door whenever she hears dogs in the hallway. I’m so grateful to Alysia for giving me not only new training tools, but also the confidence to use them. I now feel much more prepared to handle the unpredictability of city life and whatever new situations may come our way. I also know I can always reach out to Alysia with questions, which is incredibly reassuring. If I ever decide I want to do more live training sessions in the future, I would 100% want to work with Alysia again through SamIvy. She is knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful, and truly invested in helping both dogs and their humans succeed. Can't recommend enough!
