Tenasity- Canine Behavior Specialist

We adopted a one-ish, rescue golden. She had been living outdoors, tethered to a tree by a chain for months, along with her young mother & father (who got loose & ran away.) As you can imagine, she has quite a few obstacles to overcome. One of them is that she shows a great deal of anxiety & aggression toward other animals. Gabe has been a godsend to us. He is very thorough in explaining things & even allows me to record our training sessions so I can share it with my husband & sister who helps care for her. Gabe talks & moves quickly but he is patient & attentive to my concerns. He has instilled hope in me as I have had dogs with various health issues but never aggression issues. I feel like a fish out of water. We are going to send our girl this week to Tenasity’s 2 week intensive training program. I have a great deal of confidence in Gabe, his methods, & our girl, Lola Grace. We want her to have the best life we can possibly give her, which ideally will include a future canine sibling & friends to play with. I highly recommend Tenasity. We found Tenasity through Adopt a Golden as our rescued dog was having some behaviorial and obedience challenges. We had a 1-hour call with the lead instructor Gabe and made the difficult decision to send her to a board and train program for 2 weeks. During the screening call, we were comforted that Gabe understood the challenges we were having AND would be able to help. It wasn't an inexpensive option but we were in need of help and support- as the 2 weeks came and went, Gabe suggested that our dog needed 1 more week- while we weren't initially pleased with needing to do that, we knew we were investing in the 10+ year future we had with her. She came back a changed dog - she is listening to her commands, being a great member of the house, and playing very nicely with her older dog sister. To be clear, this is not without a tremendous amount of effort on our part to reinforce what she learned with the trainers (Gabe/Marcus) - that said, they created a foundation for us to build upon and literally every person that comes over / runs into us has commented on how different of a dog she is - positively. While it's only been a few weeks at home with her post training, we are most optimistic than ever about her future here and greatly recommend Gabe/Marcus/Team to any and all in need - we're happy with the investment and know that it'll only go up from here.
