We train all kinds of dogs - big, small and in between, all ages and all levels of obedience. We do not stereotype breeds, nor do we have a cookie cutter one-size-fits-all approach to training your dog. We believe each dog is an individual and should be treated as such.
Whether your goal is to take your untrained dog from chaos to control or your want to achieve rock solid off leash control of your dog in real world situations, our training programs can take you there. We offer private lessons as well as board and train options.

After not getting the results we were looking for from another training facililty I found Texas K9 University and couldn't be more pleased with the results. During our initial meet and greet with Kim and staff, it was clear Kim had the expertise and boarding facility we were looking for. Kim really takes the time to explain the methodology behind the training. She is not only training the dog but the owner as well to reinforce the learnings. We elected the Boarding / Training option which was fantastic and received weekly updates and videos on progress. The boarding facilities are great and you can be assured your dog gets great care. It was clear our dog Ozzy enjoyed his time at the University. Kim is very flexible and accomodating with her time and I never feel like I'm "on the clock" during follow up sessions. I highly encourage you to consider Texas K9 University for your training and boarding needs.

Kim and staff are amazing! My 18 month rottweiler is such a different dog and he is so much easier to handle. Thanksgiving was a pleasure and without any dog concerns. I had the 2 granddogs (blue heeler and german shepherded/husky) over and with the food on the counters, Rocky was almost unbelievably good. Thank you Kim for making my life with Rockyore enjoyable!

We took our dog to Texas K9 University for the board and train program. We couldn't be any happier with the results. Kim and the staff took care of our dog like he was their own. We were amazed at the work Kim did with our puppy. She spent time explaining the science behind dog training and worked with us when we picked him up. He is a different dog now and we cannot wait to see his continued progress in the future. I would definitely recommend Kim and the staff at Texas K9 University for your dog training.
