That Dog Trainer

Craig and Charlotte are awesome!! Charlotte is very knowledgeable and did so great with Enzo. She has great patience and knows just what to do in any situation. I love being able to bring Enzo here when we go on trips. I’m very comfortable and confident with the extra training he gets while we are gone. I don’t ever have to worry while he is in their hands. They definitely have a lifetime client with us!! Oh and Enzo loves being there also!!

To say we are grateful for Jessi, Craig, and Charlotte isn't enough. We are absolutely obsessed with the work they do and passion they have. After adopting a wild high-drive dog who had been returned multiple times to the pound, we were at our wits end and were referred to That Dog Trainer. We immediately enrolled him in a 5 week board and were confident in our decision. To be honest, we were probably super annoying with how often we called and texted, trying to give the them "an out" because we didn't think he could be trained. He had massive separation anxiety, was very dog reactive, and went to the beat of his own drum. After our dog completed his program, he came home and tested us to see what he could get away with now that he was back. But Charlotte, Jessi, and Craig didn't cut us loose and say "good luck". They made sure we had the right communication skills and tools to continue his success. They continue to work with us and we always look forward to their group classes. Our dog would've been e-listed had we given up on him like everyone before us. That Dog Trainer changed our lives and saved his. We cannot express our gratitude enough.

We had an incredible experience with That Dog Trainer. We went from having a 3 1/2 year old Golden Doodle that was pulling on walks, reactive to people and dogs, and generally not confident and anxious in all settings. We did the Dog Boarding with Training, and our trainer Charlotte was phenomenal. This training really changed our lives and our dog's life. We can now take him to the park confidently, walk him through stores like Barnes and Noble and Scheels, or sit out on a patio with him all WITHOUT a leash. All of the perks that come with the board and train have been the cherry on top. We love the reduced boarding price, follow up 1-1 training sessions, and the opportunity to join group classes. 10/10 recommend That Dog Trainer and Charlotte.

I'm very happy I found That Dog Trainer. For years I tried various youtube videos and random techniques trying to help my reactive boy, Cap, but nothing helped. I finally decided we needed professional help and came to Craig and Jess and they were able to assess what we needed and recommended a plan. We opted in and were paired with Kylie who was great! She constantly adjusted the training to what Cap and I needed to make sure we made progress. Between sessions we would also have homework to stay on track. Over the weeks I saw Cap go from reacting to everything on walks to us being able to now go out and not have to worry about crossing the street or having to change directions when a person or dog is approaching. Overall, a really great team, I literally walked in for the consultation with little hope and now I'm here planning hikes with my boy!

I had stumbled across That Dog Trainer on Instagram long before I made the move out to Arizona, and I can safely say they didn't disappoint when it finally came time to get to work with my Beauceron, Vallis. Charlotte was wonderful and so patient with all of my questions – I walked away from each of our sessions feeling more knowledgeable and more confident, and knowing exactly what we needed to continue building on. I also can't thank Jessi enough for squashing some of the concerns I had about his behavior. I've since boarded both of my knuckleheads (who have wildly different personalities) with them while traveling and came back to two very happy, healthy dogs. It's such a relief to have found a crew that I can trust with my two and it's obvious they genuinely care about the wellbeing of every dog that comes through their doors.
