What ages of dogs can you train at The Academy for Canine Behavior and Training?
We train dogs at any age, from young puppies to senior dogs. Private lessons are open to dogs of all ages, and we tailor each program to your dog’s age, breed, and individual behavior needs.
For our Board & Train program, dogs must be at least 4 months old. Beyond that, there is no dog too old for training — we work with adolescent, adult, and senior dogs every day.
If your dog needs early socialization, obedience, or a full behavior reset, we’ll help you choose the right program for their stage of life.

Our Board & Train programs start at $1,820 for basic training.
Pricing increases based on the level of training you choose. We also create custom programs when a dog requires additional time or specialized behavioral work.
We offer three core options:
Basic - 14-day program
Enhanced - 21-day program
Advanced - 28-day program
Every Board & Train includes:
Daily one-on-one training
Safe, structured boarding
On-leash and off-leash obedience depending on the program you choose
Behavior work for reactivity, fear, or aggression (if needed)
Owner training before going home
Free lifetime refresher classes every 1st and 3rd Saturday

Yes, we welcome puppies 4 months and older into our daycare program as long as they are appropriately vaccinated.
At this age, puppies are developmentally ready for structured socialization, clear boundaries, and calm play around other dogs. Our trained staff ensures a safe, supervised environment so young dogs build confidence and good habits from the start.

Hazel spent 3 weeks at the academy and completed the enhanced program. Nick was her trainer and he gave us lots of feedback and video on Hazel’s progress which helped since we missed her so much! She is doing so well at home and we are very pleased with the instruction and training she received! We highly recommend The Academy For Canine Behavior and Training and feel it was worth the investment. If considering, just know you do have to continue and reinforce the skills she has been taught at home to get full benefits but Nick gave us clear instructions on how to continue her success. They also offer refresher courses/help if needed.
Hazel has also stayed for Doggie Daycare and loves it! She is worn out when she gets home and well cared for.

Bryan and his team did an awesome job transforming our new dog into a well behaved superstar family member. Bryan is a dog training expert who is passionate about what he does and it shows in the results. We feel well equipped to sustain the training provided and do additional training ourselves with the tools and education we now have. All aspects of the interactions with TACBT were first class from the painless registration process, the training experience with daily updates and videos, and the thorough turnover session. Many thanks to Bryan and the team--we'll be staying connected to TACBT!

The transformation of our 4-month old puppy has been absolutely amazing! The staff is awesome and very knowledgeable. Receiving daily videos explaining what they were working on and seeing the progress every day was great.

This is an excellent facility with incredible results from our training with our five-year-old Golden Retriever. He is a well-behaved joy to be around now. The progress was so well documented with daily videos to help us with the understanding and reinforcement when Harry graduated. I would strongly encourage anybody to move forward with training, since this a bargain price for what we received. It was so good that we immediately have our other Golden Retriever in training now.
