The Art of Dog

I had an 8 year old Pitbull who was always pulling on the leash and very reactive towards people walking by and especially other dogs. After one lesson, my dog was much more responsive on the leash and seemed to get a much better understanding of what I wanted. Dave does a great job of helping you understand the approach and what messages are being conveyed to the dog so you can understand why it works and why things you were doing were not working. Completely turned around my dog's behavioral and now dogs can jump and bark in his face while he remains calm. Couldn't have asked for more! It has been months since our lessons finished and he still is responsive on questions that come up. Highly recommend him and his services!

Sought Dave out after many longstanding and perhaps over generalized concerns about my (non-working) working line shepherd’s behavior. He helped with how to functionally use the tools and methods I already had available and knew, as well as help me to understand that patience and a realization of what kind of dog I have on my hands is key to a true foundation and relationship between my dog and me. Today, while a lifelong commitment, our training is better than ever, and I am confident taking him out places that before seemed inconceivable. Knowing that he is always available to answer questions on the fly is another thing that sets him apart from other people/training facilities I’ve worked with in the past. Dave is a true one-of-a-kind person and trainer, and I’d recommend him to anyone with a desire to better their relationship with their dog.
