Who is The Calm Companion--Rosanne Eigel. "My love of dogs was innately present at the early age of 3, as I was found in the garage with a neighbor puppy, sound asleep on the floor. This was only the beginning of my lifelong interest in learning about and working with animals. I have always enjoyed spending my time with my animals, which have included over the years…dogs, cats, horses, burros, goats, and cows. I have always known that my real passion and joy came from being in their presence."
Are you short on time, need to get a handle on some behaviors, or just want the best out of your dog? We can help! We offer in-house training here at our facility, designed to introduce, develop, shape and test your dog on obedience and socialization skills. We use our facility to introduce your dog to basic obedience skills and socialization with other dogs, people, and distractions. Our program can be a short 4-day intro, 7-10 day basics program, or 3 week program where they will be reliable off leash.
Boarding includes daily walks and turn out time in our play yard. We have you bring bedding, toys, and food. · Listed price: $30.00
Are you in need of some assistance with specific issues or concerns, i.e. pulling on the leash, jumping/lunging, poor socialization, baby coming, moving / just moved in, adding a dog, what are you looking for in a dog for your family...The consultation is a time to review the current situation, look at concerns, behaviors, environment, and meet with family members that will be working with the dog.
Are you in need of assistance when your dog is pulling you down the road? Is your dog lunging at other dogs? Barking a lot, destroying toys and tearing up items in your home? Would you like your dog to stay or walk off leash? I can help! Together we will address your concerns, and develop a plan to work on any issues that are of concern to you. We can also work on obedience to develop a respectful pet. Canine psychology will be used to comprehend the root of what is happening. With my support and guidance, we will achieve a calm, confident companion. After the sessions, I will assist if anything else should arise. We will be sure to include all family members and use all locations to work through any behaviors associated with those locations.

We currently offer 4 different training classes that cover leash training, handler skills, behavior correction, and more. Each class is catered to specific dog age groups and specific training techniques. See our services page for more information!

Our training plans are customized to each dog. Training for some dogs may take a day or two, and others may take years. Our trainers will work with you to achieve goals set for your dog and recommend a timeline to reach those goals.

Dogs play and socialize together in a safe and controlled environment for a majority of the day. Most dogs are on leash during Daycare to ensure a controlled environment, not only to wear them out physically, but to create even more mental stimulation, which is more exhausting for them.

Boarding is $50 a day. This covers the amount of care that we put into each dog while at our facility. We take pride in the amount of time and care each dog receives, and that takes time and effort on behalf of our staff. Dogs are let out of their kennel every hour to hour and a half, minimum. Meaning, they are getting out of their kennel anywhere from 8-10 times a day for potty breaks, play time, walks, and more! Regardless of taking up a kennel space, it’s the care that we provide that makes it worth the cost!

New clients interested in bringing their dog for training or daycare must scheduled an evaluation with our trainers first. This is so we can determine that the services you’re interested in are in fact the best direction to go for your dog’s needs.

A evaluation would need to be scheduled for any dog showing this type of behavior. Our trainers may recommend Board & Train for the dog’s training plan to have more success in changing the dog’s behavior and correcting the aggression issues. Any dog showing this type of behavior is going to require a more lengthy and costly rehabilitation plan.

We provide most of our clients with the necessary training tools they will need to implement training in their home. We sell collars, leashes, muzzles, and more to help with training. It is not recommended for clients to go online and purchase such items without receiving the proper training themselves on how and when to use such tools. Often times, it is the owner who needs the training more than the dog!

The only required item to bring is enough food for your dog for the duration of its stay with us. Clients are welcome to bring pillows, blankets, toys, etc., if they feel it will make their dog more comfortable during its stay with us.
