The Composed Canine Dog Training

Our had no formal training until attending the board and training. After completing the training, he is more disciplined, follows commands immediately, and he is able to remain calm around other dogs. He doesn't throw tanturms when he doesn't get his way and his confidence has improved. I am also a better pet owner, and learned how to communicate and lead our dog. Meg is a great trainer and is able to work with any dog of any age. If your dog needs training, Meg is the right trainer!

Working with Meg has been life changing for our family! Our dog is a reactive, high-energy lab-mix, and Meg taught us the skills to build trust with him and help him cope with his anxiety / reactivity. Meg is an amazing teacher, not just to our pup, but to us. She is patient, ready to answer any and all questions, and always checks for understanding during lessons. We also boarded our dog with her, and she was able to polish up our dog’s training. On top of all that, Meg is incredibly kind and easy to reach, and our bond with our pup is as strong as ever thanks to her!

Working with Meg has been an amazing experience, and I am so thankful I found her to train my new dog Kimber. When I got Kimber, I had no history on her, clearly had a lot of smart and feisty breeds in her, and she had some behaviors I was concerned about ( I.e. some separation anxiety, stubbornness, clearly no obedience training prior to owning her) and I was admittedly in over my head. Taking private lessons from Meg was one of the best long-term investments I’ve made. She not only fixed the problems listed above, but she taught me the skills to train Kimber properly for the rest of her life. Growing up, my families dogs were reactive and couldn’t be trusted off leash or with strangers, which made every interaction stressful. I’m excited that I have the training to make sure Kimber won’t also be that way. With Meg’s guidance and training, I have a well behaved dog that I can take in public, take on offleash hikes and adventures on my families land with perfect recall, and is well mannered in every new situation. The training she provides is truly life changing, and has improved both me and Kimber’s life for the better. I’m extremely excited to keep applying the methods Meg taught me to continue giving Kimber a fun, adventurous, and fulfilling life. My goal going into training was to have a dog I can take anywhere with no problems and Meg definitely made that goal possible. I would highly recommend Meg for anyone needing dog training. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t recommend Meg highly enough! When Zion came home at 8 weeks old, I was told he was a Black Mouth Cur mix. Turns out he’s a full-on Belgian Malinois – surprise! That could have been a recipe for chaos, but the foundation he got in Meg’s puppy classes literally saved us. From day one she taught clear, positive, and practical principles: focus games, impulse control, polite greetings, crate manners, and how to channel crazy puppy energy into something productive. Those early lessons gave me the tools to keep raising him long after class ended. At one year old now, Zion is confident, extremely well-mannered, and an absolute joy everywhere we go – people can’t believe a high-drive working Malinois can be this calm and under control in public. The best part? Everything she taught was force-free, fun, and built an incredible bond between us. She saw the Maligator in him before I did and gently prepared me for what was coming, without ever making me feel overwhelmed. If you have a puppy – any breed, but especially a smart, intense one – start with Meg. Those puppy classes were the single best investment I ever made in my dog. We had a fantastic experience working with Meg! She was professional, clear, and incredibly easy to communicate with. She took the time to explain Russell’s behavior in a way that made sense and gave us real tools we could use at home. Our 4-year-old English Springer Spaniel can be a handful, but Meg handled him like an absolute dream — patient, confident, and completely in tune with his energy. We saw noticeable improvement after his 2 week intensive school training and felt supported every step of the way.
