The Crafty Pup Dog Training

It was hard for me to trust someone else with my dog especially because of how attached we were to each other, but I fully trusted Jimmy. He was very informative about all the steps he was doing and the plan to train my dog. I appreciated all the photos & videos I got from him showing my dog improving with training. He was also accommodating with payments and was very understanding of both our needs. He trained my dog very well to the point where my dog used to love taking my pillows off the couch and chew them, he tried it yesterday & I corrected him once with how Jimmy trained me to do and my dog has since then not gone after my pillows. I am very excited to see the progression my dog will continue to make with Jimmy’s excellent training! High recommend!!! 10/10.

We sent our Bernedoodle puppy, Beau, to Jimmy for an initial 3-week training. When he came home he was like a new dog during our walks. His attention was all over the place before, and once he came home, he was focused, listening and following commands so well and maintaining his calm when he saw other dogs & people. Jimmy’s no-nonsense approach is what we needed, and he has continued to be very accessible to us with questions. He has trained us almost more than our puppy! It was such a great experience that Beau will return to Jimmy later this month for some additional training. We recommend The Crafty Pup to anyone who’s looking to train their pup, regardless of how old! Thank you, Jimmy!

I have a very, strong, and overly friendly 5 year old chocolate lab that could pull down a healthy, strong young adult (none of which I am) pulling on the leash to get to where he wants to go! I did a board and train with Jimmy and what I got back was a well-behaved, no leash pulling dog!!! Harley now heels, sits on command and returns to heel on command while walking. I couldn't be happier with the results. As for Jimmy, Harley loved him and on my 1st training visit at the kennel Harley made sure he divided his attention between me and Jimmy. Jimmy got dog kisses from Harley I did'nt.

I’ve known Jimmy for over 15 years, and he’s an absolutely incredible dog trainer. Beyond his one-on-one expertise, what really stands out is the platform and community he’s building with The Crafty Pup. His social media content is not only fun to watch, it’s packed with helpful, practical tips, he’s delivering tremendous value and creating a real community for dog owners everywhere. Even though we live in different states and he hasn’t trained my dogs directly, Jimmy is still the first person I call when I run into challenges. A quick FaceTime and I walk away with guidance that’s clear, relatable, and easy to put into practice. He has a gift for explaining things in a way that sticks, often using creative metaphors that make training feel simple. He has the expertise of someone who’s been training dogs for decades, but just as importantly, he’s a genuinely great guy and someone I trust completely. If you’re looking to improve your dog’s listening skills or training, I couldn’t recommend Jimmy and The Crafty Pup enough.
