While we were away this past week, we had to board our dog, Chewy and we had never done it before. I was super nervous to do this and wanted to find him a place that he was comfortable at and would not be a drastic change for him and lucky for us we found The Dog House, right here in town. Sarah and Mark took great care of Chewy, sent us tons of pictures and videos each day all along making us feel comfortable! Chewy had a great time, he made new fur friends, enjoyed being part of a pack and had fun at his “summer camp”! If anyone is looking for a great place for boarding that is just like home, contact them now.

After only 3 sessions with Sarah and Mark, our very hyper rescue dog who was nipping at us and behaving badly, is so much more relaxed and behaving so much better! We have learned to communicate appropriately with him, which has relieved so much stress in our family. I started going to Sarah and Mark for issues with my dog during walks. They have been extremely helpful in guiding me through the training process and giving tips to work on for all of my dogs other issues. They are professional, kind and make you feel comfortable like you’ve known them forever (which is a huge plus when your a shy person like myself) I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone out there looking to get their dog on the right path!

Mark and Sarah have been fostering for Big Hair Animal Rescue since they adopted Bruiser in 2018. Most of the dogs the rescue takes in have training needs and are not known to be easy dogs. All are adult working breeds many with bite histories or other significant challenges like feral dogs that have had zero handling/ human socialization. Dogs that were literally trapped in the woods prior to entering the rescue. Over a dozen fosters later Mark and Sarah have done more than right by each dog fortunate to pass through their home. They are 100% committed to the work they do helping and training dogs as if each dog is their own.They are knowledgeable, skilled, experienced dog trainers and fosters I could not think more highly of. I trust them to care and train my foster dogs and I would trust them with my personal dogs- and that list is VERY short! If you are in need of their services I highly recommend The Dog House.
