The Dog Human Alliance

Alison of Dog Human Alliance is a brilliant trainer for me and my three dogs. She is so wise, kind, creative and affirming. She has made a huge difference to the well being of our little tribe by systematically guiding me through solutions for doggie challenges. For instance, I can now vacuum in peace, my dogs are learning not to resource guard and to be patient and cooperative for grooming. I'm very grateful for the Dog Human Alliance. I don't know what I would do without Ali's guidance and help with my little pup. I started training with Ali when my puppy was a little over three months. I did three training sessions with Ali to learn how to socialize my puppy and train her in various things like basic commands, not jumping on people, and staying calm in public areas. Ali was available for any questions I had and recommended that I send her any videos of my puppy's behavior for her feedback. I really think my puppy is the way she is (a calm, well-socialized puppy) because of what I learned from Ali about positive reinforcement. I love Ali's approach to training dogs and how she gives you the perspective of what the dog is feeling. I loved working with her and will continue to do so!

Four sessions with Alison completely changed walks with our dog, Walter. Alison helped us identify the warning signs leading up to reactivity and how to reassure our dog and redirect his attention to us. Even after just one session we saw a major difference in how Walter reacted to other dogs, scooters, and other stimuli on walks and how he focused on us. Alison was friendly, supportive, nonjudgmental, and easy to work with every step of the way. She took the time to understand our dog and us as individuals and gave us the tools to continue training and growing even after our sessions ended. We could not recommend Alison enough!
