The Dog Institute of Williamsburg

I can’t praise Elizabeth and her team more! I got a cavapoo puppy in October and don’t know what I would do without the Dog Institute, they have been so incredible, especially as a first time mom. Elizabeth is amazing and was so thorough and dedicated in our puppy training sessions. Hazel has been going to the play & train sessions and it is by far the highlight of her week. They take the best care of all the puppies there and I feel so comfortable leaving here as I know she is in good hands. She is the happiest there playing with all her friends. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth and team are the absolute best! The puppy classes have been the best investment I could have made to have Chevy (bottom left with blue collar) socialized early and often. The virtual training sessions & board/train programs have also been instrumental in turning Chevy into a standup gentlemen even as a 7 month old rescue. If you’re considering the Dog Institute, I can share from my experience that this is THE place to send your puppy. Elizabeth is a trusted resource and she makes everything extremely personable and accommodating. Not only has she been an amazing trainer, but she’s also been extremely helpful when it comes to his health (almost as much if not more as my vet!). Can go on and on about how amazing my experience has been - bottom line is I’d highly highly recommend especially for first time owners!

Incredible place, especially for puppy training. We felt so well taken care of and the techniques we learned really helped our dog adapt to life in Brooklyn. She is a cavapoo and 5 years later we still come back to so many of the tools that Elizabeth taught us especially since we had a baby a couple of years ago. She has been really generous with additional guidance and was flexible with our sessions. Cannot recommend more highly. The sitting facilities and dog supplies they have are also super high quality — our lead from there is still in great shape after 4 years of daily use!!!!

I’ve had such a great experience working with Elizabeth! She’s been amazing at helping me understand my dog Zeppelin’s behavior and giving me the right tools to support him. I’ve learned so much throughout our sessions, and I can really see how much Zeppelin has grown — he’s calmer, more confident, and responds so much better now. Elizabeth is patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about helping both dogs and owners succeed. I’m so grateful for everything she’s taught us!
