The Dog Training Spot

My parents had recently added an 8 week havanese (Luna) to their household. While I had the opportunity to help them within the first couple of weeks of her arrival (I live in Michigan), I realized she could benefit from some training. I reached out to Stephanie and arranged a 2 week board/train for Luna. I couldn't have been happier with this decision. Stephanie took the time to speak with me on several ocassions to ensure we were on the same page with her training needs. Once we had a solid plan designed, we arranged for a meet/greet with Luna and my parents. Over the two weeks that Luna was in Stephanie's care, Stephanie continutally shared photos and updates on Luna's progress. She made sure that my parents were educated on what was needed to continue Luna's home training. Stephanie continues to be available whenever we have even the simpliest of questions. We are also in the process of arranging private training for Luna's continued education. I highly recommend Stephanie and look forward to working with her in the future.

We have an 8 year old border collie that is prone to anxiety when we leave her. We are in the area for a month or so and needed someone to care for her a few times. I found Stephanie and we could not have been happier and neither could our dog. She treats them like her own and is super knowledgeable with them. She was so happy and well taken care of and would never need to look further she’s the best.

We adopted a 3 year old blue heeler/ min pin mix who is a true alpha female. She is more a farm dog as Stephanie says than a city girl and our goal is to teach her some manners. She is very smart and loves people but doesn’t play well with other dogs or cats in the sandbox. She feels squirrels are put on earth just to antagonize her and she is ready and waiting for them at every turn. Stephanie is helping us learn her triggers and how to calm her and distract her. It’s amazing how before that she would jump on everyone but is learning to be patient for some attention at the appropriate time. She still walks us more than we walk her but we’re continuing our classes and so appreciate the calm, direct way that Stephanie guided all three of us through her training. Hazel just loves her!
