The Dog Training Spot

Spent 30 minutes for a initial consult which cost 100.00 which basically turned out to be a “Let me consider if I will be able to take your dog for boarding” now grant it our dog has behavioral issues and yes underlying aggression and anxiety. But I thought the trainer would realize this. Experience was supposed to be 2 hours which was cut short and unfortunately I felt not worth 100.00 for 30 minutes. Not sure if I agree with the behavior approach as I learned nothing in 30 minutes. 100 for an initial analysis to tell me my dog has behavioral issues and needs to be addressed. Facility is a fenced area but not much shade. Barn is being built for kennel accommodation but nothing too fancy. Sorry i couldn’t provide a better experience. 3 trainers later and 1000s of dollars spent. No one knows the answer. Everyone believes there approach is the best. Maybe it depends on the breed and nature of the dog. Not one size fits all?

Stephanie is a wonderful dog trainer and a very caring person. She enrolled my dog on an immediate/emergency basis after I had fallen and broken my leg. She took in my 10 mth old golden retriever puppy and taught him to be a better dog. Teddy came back to me more calm, with better manners and social skills. Above all, he came back with the ability to focus and walk perfectly on a leash. No more jumping, pulling and extreme excitement when he sees people or other dogs. I highly recommend Stephanie!

Our Sheltie, Sadie, just spent 3 weeks in immersion training with Stephanie at the Dog Training Spot. We were very familiar with the breed, having had previous Shelties, and we felt as though Stephanie would provide exactly the kind of training Sadie needed. While there, she had a fantastic time playing and learning from the other dogs, and Stephanie took fantastic care of Sadie. She came out a more confident dog, who learned all the things a dog should and is better on-leash in public spaces and less reactive to moving vehicles and other animals.

Stephanie, my rescuer helped me with my 2 yorkies, sisters I adopted 9 months old were not trained at all , walking on leash, there names, not housebroken, jumping you name it. She had Lucy for 4 weeks, then her sister Ethel for 3 weeks, Well these girls both came home different for sure. She did say from the very beginning due to there age she didn’t know how much house training could be done,, none of us expected both girls would be trainable. I’m a proud mom
