The Dog Wizard Cincinnati

We can’t say enough great things about Cincinnati Dog Wizard and our trainer, David! Our Labrador mix, Remy, completed the 14-day off-leash board-and-train program, and the results have been amazing. We initially brought Remy to training because she struggled with insecurity, reactivity, and jumping on people. From the beginning, David took the time to listen to all of our concerns, understand Remy’s needs, and build a wonderful bond with her. Since completing the program, we’ve seen tremendous improvement in Remy’s confidence and behavior. She is much more manageable, responsive, and comfortable in situations that used to be challenging for her. We’re so happy with the progress she has made and feel much more confident continuing to reinforce everything she learned. We’re incredibly thankful to Cincinnati Dog Wizard and especially to David for all of the time, patience, and care he put into working with Remy. We couldn’t recommend David enough!

David worked absolute magic with Orzo. David recommended and scoped our training program, provided consistent updates, and, when time came to bring Orzo home, David spent as much time as necessary with us to make sure he could acclimate. I am impressed that our training program with the Dog Wizard and David includes ongoing training, on-call questions, and continued classes. If I had another dog to train, I would hire the Dog Wizard and specially request David.

Our dog Finney was a rescue that we spent well over a year working with then eventually got to a point we realized we needed help. Her two week board & train seems to have accomplished more than we were able to in over a year. She was very stubborn, reactive to other dogs, and was extremely difficult to handle on the leash. David saw her at her worst and stayed persistent in helping her - which we so appreciate. She developed a deep connection with him in just two weeks! In our home visits between Finney coming home for good, there was clearly a lot of progress that was made each day! We loved seeing her update videos on Facebook each day and only wish we could have seen/experienced more of the daily training they did with her. We were able to walk her on the leash, practice obedience, and learn tactics to redirect her energy when triggers occur, with David’s guidance. It’s a lot to learn in a short period of time! David answered all our questions - and we had a lot! We have watched hundreds of videos trying to be self taught handlers (and made progress with her since her adoption), but nothing we did compares to the tools we learned from David and the all repetition he did with her. The Dog Wizard provided so many opportunities for dog exposure that we could not. We have a great foundation to build off of now and plan to utilize continued support with The Dog Wizard through their group outings and individual sessions as needed. We highly recommend David and thank him (and the other trainers) for their diligence with her.
