We’re the Dog Wizard team in Cincinnati, and we help dog owners achieve calm, reliable behavior through clear structure and hands-on training. We work with puppies and adult dogs struggling with leash pulling, reactivity, anxiety, aggression, and impulse control. Many families choose our board-and-train jumpstart programs for intensive progress, then continue with private lessons, puppy programs, off-leash training, and free lifetime group classes. We also support graduates with daycare and boarding options that reinforce good habits. Clients often tell us the biggest change is confidence, finally understanding how to communicate with their dog in real-world settings like home, walks, and public places.

After Thor’s winter stay with Dog Wizard, a summer board n tune was the perfect refresher. This 7-day board n tune successfully reinforced his skills with his original trainer, Alex. Alex trained our family just as much as Thor, giving us great impulse-control tips. During our PetSmart exit lesson, Alex patiently showed us how to keep those skills sharp. We had an amazing experience with Dog Wizard- David is a very knowledgeable, compassionate and kind trainer. Our dog Sky entered training with high anxiety and aggression for other dogs and in just two short weeks David was able to build trust and and give Sky the confidence to be social. Truly remarkable!!

My friends have been raving about The Dog Wizard for years, so when my 1-year pup was being too much, I knew who to call.
My mini Bernedoodle, Hurley, used to counter surf, jump on guests, gnaw on me when he wanted something, would not come in from the backyard when called, pulled on walks, was anxious etc etc etc. Once he had problems at boarding facilities, we took the leap.
He finished a 21-day board and train a week ago. Pam was his trainer and I cannot believe how much better he is now. She trained him to place, walk properly, avoid distractions, calm his mind, etc. Then she trained, and continues to train us humans, to help him be the best dog he can be. He is like a completely new dog, but is still the dog we always knew and loved. The videos during his stay were so fun to watch his progress. The e-collar helps reinforce his commands and tells him when he needs to stop what he's doing. My husband was skeptical, but he and I completely believe that this training was absolutely worth it.
I plan on going to the Saturday trainings when I can to keep his skills up and I know Pam will be there if I need anything. I will recommend The Dog Wizard to anyone and everyone. I cannot thank them enough!!!

We sent our 1 year old dog for the off leash day program and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. Penny had the pleasure of having Kayla as her trainer during the sessions. Kayla was patient, knowledgeable, and ready to answer any questions we had.

Kayla was absolutely phenomenal!!! She was so great with our dog Louie, and was great at keeping us updated on his progress along the way! We are so lucky we got her to train him and would recommend her to anyone!!!!
