The Upbeat K9 group dog training class is designed to be above the average group obedience class by teaching practical obedience to dogs and their families. Your dog will learn all the basic obedience commands: sit, stay, down, heel, come and place.You will learn how to use basic commands to prevent and resolve dog behavior problems. You’ll use this knowledge for as long as you own a dog. You’ll also build a good bond & relationship between you and your dog, so that you can continue to enhance your dog’s behavior in the future. We use simulations, including distractions, noise, and public interactions to add the 'have to' to the training learned.

Here we partner on the dogs training. We'll pick up and train your dog during the day and return your dog in the evening and report the results, and give the owner 'homework' instruction for the next couple days. We pick up the dog after the couple days again and add to the training, then repeat the steps throughout a 5 or 10 day program. After the training for one full year if your experiencing difficulty on something that was worked on with your dog we will come out free of charge to help correct it again.

Awesome owners. Wonderful team. Our experience with Steve and Aurelia was extraordinary. We left our very large, very sweet, but very out-of-control chocolate lab with them for a week, and they returned to us a much settled, walkable pup. We're still working on social skills, which is done by participating in the Dog Wizard's free lifetime pack walks. These bi-weekly walks are invaluable to us as they provide on-going individual training tips in addition to group skill drills. Gabby is an amazing trainer who is able to command the dogs' attention, and easily convey her methods and skills to the dogs' owners for them to hone on their own or via the pack walks. They had been in contact with us before we took her in, so we knew exactly what to do and what to expect when we got there. It was the same when we went to pick her up. My husband and I received great instruction on what they had taught Arwen and had us practice with her. They gave us pointers, answered questions and made sure we felt comfortable. I could not believe this was the same dog we had dropped off three weeks earlier. They offer a support group with walks in a park where we go over some of the training points and answer questions. I highly recommend them.

Hank our rescue rottie we have no history on him before we brought him to our home. When we brought him home he did bite 2 of my family members and after countless turn downs of anyone willing to work with him as a trainer we got a recommendation of the dog wizard. I called the next day and they immediately started giving me tips on how to work with Hank and was in contact to see how things were going until he was able to go to the facility for training. Hank went for 3 weeks and when I picked him up I never thought we would get to the point of Hank listening and letting down his resources guarding. Fast forward to getting Hank home we worked with him and he pushed back and went back to his old ways I was so upset, Steve called me to see how Hank was going and I let them know that Hank was going back to his old ways. He emailed me and gave me things to do with Hank. After the week and not seeing improvement I sent another email and Steve called to set up to come to our home and help us and he came out showed us how to instill all the training tools so Hank was successful. I went from wanting to put my dog down to motivated and happy to see the training tools are working and my stubborn rottie is testing me to see if I’m going to continue to follow through. I can’t thank Steve and the dog wizard enough for helping keep our dog and make him a great family dog
