FirstBarkGabby and the crew were such great trainers and treated my girl like she was there own, even taking her to the vet during her stay! I really learned so much from Gabby and will begin joining her for support groups so I can keep up all they taught her. This allows us to maintain a safe, controlled environment where all dogs understand expectations and communicate appropriately. Unlike traditional run all day daycares, we focus on balance. Dogs participate in structured social sessions throughout the day, followed by scheduled rest periods to prevent overstimulation and reinforce calm behavior. Daycare runs from 6:30am to 7:00pm, Monday-Friday. Drop-off times are between 6:30am9:30am, and pick-up times are between 4:30pm7:00pm. At this time, we do not offer half days. We had a fantastic experience with Gabby at Dog Wizard. We have a shepherd/husky mix with anxiety. I swear, he’s a whole different dog now! He’s calmer, he listens, he responds to our commands- I truly couldn’t have asked for a better result. I highly recommend Westlake Dog Wizard, and I highly recommend Gabby as a trainer.

We adopted a slightly disabled 9 month old mini poodle puppy in March. After a little over a month of her not sleeping through night, not getting the potty training, and some other undesirable behaviors from her being in a shelter, we elected to send her to a two week board and train with The Dog Wizard Westlake. Her trainer, Gabby, was fantastic and even got the puppy a wheelchair to help her go on longer walks. She came home sleeping through the night and with a great foundation of skills for us to build on. Gabby provided an extremely detailed exit training session to teach us everything the puppy had been learning and how to continue her training. We are extremely pleased and are looking forward to taking her to some of the free group training classes they provide for graduates to brush up on their skills.
So happy with our experience here! Poppi learned so much during her stay. She no longer pulls on her leash during our walks, makes more eye contact for directions, and continuing to learn to self regulate her puppy energy. We are looking forward to attending the additional trainings on Saturdays.

We had such a great experience with the Dog Wizard!! We rescued a second dog in April and quickly realized that we were in over our heads and we needed a lot of help socializing the two! They struggled with boundaries and when they got too worked up, we had a very difficult time getting them to settle down and listen to us. They both also needed help with recall, leash walking and leash reactivity with other dogs. We wanted to get them into a structured program sooner rather then later to help them develop a good relationship right away with us and with each other. Kurtis was so great about communicating with us and helped set up with training quickly! We felt really good about the day train program after meeting with him and it turned out to be perfect for our schedules. Our dogs were trained by Bethany and she was awesome! We had a take home lesson after each session and she did a great job of explaining things to us and helped us practice with her at the facility before going home. We saw progress with the two right away. When a video was posted of our dogs learning “place” and not reacting to other dogs in the room, we couldn’t believe our eyes! We went from having a hard time letting them be out in the same room together, to having them relax in their “place” in the house right next to each other. We will still need to keep up with the training and keep practicing the skills that they learned, but Bethany did a great job teaching us and giving us the tools we need to continue working with them. It really has made a world of difference! We also feel good knowing that they offer support for the future too! Thank you guys for everything!
