The Doggy Dojo

The Doggy Dojo is the most professional dog training available in the Las Vegas/Henderson area. Here is my personal experience with the trainers. I filled out the application and within 24 hours I was contacted by K9 Trainer Greg. We set up the initial evaluation Saturday of the same week. A little history with K9 Nero that I adopted from the Henderson Animal Shelter the week prior. A two year old German Shepherd with a major attitude and some behavior issues. Upon arrival K9 trainer Greg, K9 Nero and myself went to work immediately. After 5 minutes of training K9 Nero was responding to the basic commands. K9 Trainer Greg also spent some time evaluated me and K9 Nero to develop a personal plan that would work. Just a little heads up, as a your K9 handler be prepared to work harder than the dog. After evaluation K9 Trainer Greg determined that K9 Nero would be better suited for Threat and Protection work. After 9-13 months of training K9 Trainer Greg and Owner K9 Trainer Kevin determined that Nero and I were ready to graduate the program. The great part of the program is there is no rush to get you and the dog completed with training. We graduated only after the trainers were satisfied that I could handle Nero and Nero could perform the task required. Great things about the Dojo the handlers are remarkable and know K9 training. As a handler you will work extremely hard and sometimes harder that the K9. The trainers will never handle your K9, the interactions are 100% you and the K9. Greg, Kevin and Danielle are the best in the business and provide realistic training every session. Please allow the staff to evaluate the student to determine what type of training your dog needs. I brought my Belgian Malinois and Cavapoo to the Doggy Dojo, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Gregory Conner and Kevin Martinez were absolutely fantastic with both of my dogs. They were patient, knowledgeable, and truly understood the unique needs of each breed. My Belgian Malinois is high-energy and needs structure, while my Cavapoo is more playful and sensitive, and Gregory and Kevin tailored their training to fit each dog’s personality perfectly. The improvement I’ve seen in both dogs is remarkable. My Malinois now follows commands with precision, and my Cavapoo’s behavior has improved so much during our daily walks. The trainers also gave me the tools and confidence to continue working with my dogs at home. The reinforcement lessons with Danielle also makes the weekly visits very enjoyable for us. She also makes a great decoy for both my pups to gnaw on. I highly recommend the Doggy Dojo to anyone looking for professional, effective dog training! Thanks again to the team at the dojo!

Doggy Dojo saved our family! After rescuing our 1 year old Belgian Malinois, we weren't sure we could keep her with all the issues we were having. Thankfully, with the proper training, she has become the best dog in the world, and has now been certified as my husband's service dog. She goes with us everywhere, and gets so many compliments from others on her behavior. This would not be possible without her excellent training.
