The Educated Dog

Deanne is phenomenal! Me and my pup, Huxley, have been working with her since the beginning of the year. She is extremely knowledgeable on dog training, dedicated to the job, very thorough, and detailed in the steps needed to train appropriately. We’ve had success with a variety of cues and some problem behaviors. For example, we’ve minimized things like incessant jumping and barking indoors. What makesme happiest is the results of our potty training efforts. She’s very direct about what to do and not to do when training certain behaviors, which has been perfect for me. After each session, Deanne sends a detailed summary with your next steps to keep your progress up. She’s also very responsive to questions outside of sessions.

Deanne is loving and creative and thoroughly understands dogs. Our young poodle was very wild and Deanne civilized her with gentleness and kindness. Deanne’s solely positive reinforcement approach makes training a productive and happy experience. Her mantra to reward the right behavior has been key for our puppy. So has been Deanne’s help with leash reactivity, which has been working beautifully. Plus, our dog is always thrilled to see Deanne. She takes such great care of our puppy, even cooking chicken for her when she wasn’t eating well. Deanne is so aware and smart that she noticed when our puppy was looking thinner than usual. Sure enough, the vet confirmed that our dog needed to put on a bit more weight. We feel so fortunate to have found Deanne. Without the slightest exaggeration, Deanne is a gem.
