The Good Dog Academy Day School and Learning Center

We purchased a puppy this year and found The Good Dog Academy to be an amazing support as we had no clue how to train her. Our little one has participated in the puppy training courses, agility training, and attended their Day School. I cannot say enough about Jo Beth. From our first obedience session, it was clear how knowledgeable, caring and patient she is not only with dogs but their owners as well. Teeter is my one and a half year old cattle dog. She was quite reactive (still is at times but not nearly as much now), a bit quirky and definitely a challenge. I was trying so hard to understand her and felt like I was failing her. Since working with Jo Beth, Teeter has made such progress in her behavior, confidence and obedience. Jo Beth took the time to understand my dog's personality and helped build a stronger bond between us. Her training methods are always positive and effective! People compliment my dog on his training all the time thanks to Jo Beth and the amazing team at The Good Dog Academy! Seriously, Howard was a tornado of energy before we started training with Bo Beth, and now he gets mistaken for a service dog! She gave me the tools to train him and continue on my own after our sessions were over. We did a training package and it was well worth the cost. She helped me deal with his constant jumping, pulling, and basic obedience stuff like leave it. We ended up doing a reactive dog class due to the way he’d stalk dogs and stare hard at them on walks. This class was life changing! We use this training all the time. The wonderful thing is now I can bring him everywhere with me! Well, everywhere that is dog friendly. We have been using the Day School for over a year and I cannot recommend it enough. They really help reinforce good habits. They have gone above and beyond with accommodations for his food allergies. Howard loves his day school!
