The Good Dog Yorktown

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Amber! Our 8 month old Great Dane, Frank, went to her for board & train, and I was definitely nervous about leaving him. He’s still very much a puppy, but already over 100 pounds, so we knew it was important to get a solid foundation in place while he’s young. From the very beginning, Amber made me feel completely comfortable. She went above and beyond with communication and sent tons of photos and videos throughout his stay, which made being away from him so much easier. I never felt like I was wondering how he was doing or what they were working on. Our biggest goals for Frank were improving his basic commands and, especially, learning how to settle and relax in public. We want to be able to take him along to parks, breweries, patios, and other outings without having a giant puppy who can’t turn his brain off. Amber really understood what we wanted for him and worked on skills that are actually useful in our everyday life. We’re so happy with the progress Frank made and feel like we have a much better foundation to continue working with him at home. You can tell Amber genuinely cares about the dogs she trains, and I’m so grateful for the time, patience, and attention she gave him. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering board & train!
