We are a family owned Structured Daycare and Training Center. Here we focus on creating a safe and structured environment for dogs to learn and practice proper socialization.
We cover anywhere from Boston to Salem MA for daycare and service all of MA and neighboring states for training. Even had a few fly down from Canada recently!
We are mainly known for not only running a private structured daycare but for our World Renowned Board and Train program that specializes in advanced on and off leash obedience, Behavior modification, Aggression Rehabilitation, Puppy Foundation and Shadow program for Trainers in the United states

I took my mini golden doodle Tilly for board & train just before she turned 1. She is very smart but very defiant. Her goal was to work on confidence, obedience, leash manners, off leash recall, but she came home with so much more! I could not be more impressed with Nelson and his team. I am even getting acknowledgement from strangers about how well behaved she is as a puppy. I would recommend The Happy K-9 to everyone!!!

Nelson and crew gave our dog an amazing experience with the board and train with recall. Our puppy is able to relax, respond to commands with ease, and walk safely through our busy city streets on leash. He LOVES his daycare days with the entire HK9 crew! We are so happy we made this decision and strongly recommend any pup parent to consider this training for a truly enjoyable experience.

My dog Maeve attended a four week board and train with Nelson and his team. To start, Nelson had an extensive initial meeting with us to talk over who Maeve was and what her challenges were. She was extremely anxious in all areas of life and making it harder for me to invite people to my house or enjoy the world. During the program, he kept us regularly updated on her progress. After the program, he and his team met with me and taught me all the boundaries they put in place and how to interact and rebuild my relationship with my girl. I’m happy to report today that Maeve is thriving, trying new things, building confidence and is the happiest angel. We work on our training and have built our relationship to what it is, but it would have never been possible without Nelson and his team changing my little lady’s life. I am beyond grateful for them!
