We have nothing but amazing things to say about our experience with Matt! Our 1.5-year-old Clumber Spaniel stayed with him for his board-and-train program, and the transformation we’ve seen in just the few days since Birdie came home has been truly special. Matt listened carefully to all of our concerns — big and small — and took the time to address each one with thoughtful, personalized solutions that worked specifically for our puppy. One of our biggest concerns was Birdie’s resource guarding tendencies around high-value treats. Matt successfully corrected that behavior and made sure we understood why it was happening. He also taught my partner and me better ways to communicate and interact with Birdie so we can prevent it moving forward. The comprehensive video updates throughout Birdie’s stay kept us completely at ease, and the longer training videos plus the in-person parent training session when we picked him up gave us the confidence and tools to continue Matt’s training successfully at home. Matt is very knowledgeable in his training and thoughtful in his approach and we so happy that he was able to help bring the best out our pup!

Matt is very knowledgeable and thoughtful in his training regimen. Specifically, he will ensure your dog is crate trained and knows basic commands such as sit, wait, heel, and place, while providing useful information on how you can and should behave around your dog. Matt took the time to walk us through how we could carry forward his techniques in detail and truly cares about the best for your dog short and long term. Navy had an excellent time at Matt’s Board and Train program and we would highly recommend to anyone needing to improve their dog’s behavior.
