The Home Grown Dog

We left Oliver with Emily for a two week board and train and although we were nervous she kept us at ease. Kept us updated on his progress, sent pictures, kept her social media updated and taught Oliver so so much. He learned how to walk on a leash properly, place, down and simple commands. and for the first time we ever we were able to take him to dinner with us and he stayed on his cot for the full two hours we were there and it was a crazy busy night with lots of people and animals and he did amazing. Emily will be our board and train from here on out with Oliver and I would highly recommend her to anyone needing help with their fur baby.

Emily helped us so much with our 6 yr/old dog - she listened to the symptoms our dog was displaying and identified the causes for his reactive behavior. She taught us that by providing more structure and boundaries within the home, we’re actually providing opportunities for our pup to relax- and to reduce his reactive (read: stressful to us!) behavior! I no longer have anxiety anticipating how my dog will react when strangers or familiar people come to my home, or out on walks/in public. We’re now able to manage his expectations and he knows ours. Emily provided multiple sessions and the tools and equipment to teach us how to better manage our dog, and checks in with us regularly to make sure we’re not having issues/slipping into old habits. She even helped with acclimating our other dog to the treadmill! Thank you Emily for bringing this peace into our home!

Emily was extremely responsive when I needed help with my 2.5 year old hound. She was able to find time almost immediately to schedule a virtual session and made sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed during our call. She listened to the specifics of our situation and gave me manageable things to implement into our every day routine with our dog that have led to HUGE changes in his behavior. Even visiting guests have commented on the positive behavior changes. After our call she checked in to make sure we were making progress and answer additional questions. Overall our dog is much happier, we are happier, and our house is more calm. Our only disappointment is not being closer so that we can take advantage of her board and train program!
