The Hub by Pack Animals

We started coming to the hub because of our reactive dog Coco, we started with private classes and then graduated to group classes , Andrea has helped us to understand Coco, we can ask anything without feeling judge. Andrea and Chris remember everyone and they celebrate every win and encourage us to keep going . The best part is that Coco loves going , she feels safe and likes when Andrea set us obstacles. We felt like giving up with Coco before going to The Hub ( we already tried another trainer before ) but Coco is a different dog now !! Thank you !

Prior to joining to Hub, my wife and I would be anxious taking our Pomsky puppy, Koda, out on walks and in public due to his high rate of vocalization towards both people and other dogs. We tried everything from high value treats, human food, and toys to help him refocus with little to no luck. Our previous approach to training worked inside the house but went out the window when we stepped outside. This left us frustrated and searching everywhere to find a solution. One day, on a carrier socialization trip to City Center, we found The Hub by Pack Animals. Walking in, we were in awe of the spacious, clean facility, cute pups in daycare, and warm, welcoming, informative staff. The Hub’s focus on positive reinforcement training and gym style setup were its biggest appeals. We envisioned Koda running through obstacles, interacting with other dogs, and having a blast in a safe space outside of our home. After a few in depth phone calls with Andrea (the founder and head trainer) and an intake evaluation, we decided it was best to purchase a membership alongside private lessons. Group classes made us nervous, fearing Koda’s barking to be too distracting for the other pups in class. However, Andrea reassured us in the beginning that Koda’s barking was nothing to be ashamed of and supplied us with tools for success which included moveable barriers and a separate area for Koda to lower his arousal and eventually bring him back into class once he was ready. This meant the world to us and has made going to group classes manageable and a great opportunity to teach Koda necessary life skills. Over time, the necessity of the barriers has decreased, signifying a shift in Koda’s behavior and ability to self regulate in distracting and arousing environments. During private sessions, Andrea has been amazing at teaching us valuable skills to keep Koda engaged and neutral out in the real world. We are able to learn new commands and techniques, practicing them in a safe, controlled environment where Koda can succeed and be his best. Andrea’s carefully planned training roadmap addressed all our concerns and set realistic expectations for Koda and my wife and I. These lessons have instilled a great amount of confidence in me, my wife, and our little Koda which has led to real world results and everyday application. For example: we are now able to take Koda out on daily walks around the neighborhood! With our membership, we are also able to take advantage of the Play Groups the Hub offers which has been valuable in teaching Koda how to interact with other dogs in a comfortable, supervised environment while fulfilling his need to be with canine friends. Molly, another trainer and daycare attendant at the Hub, has been awesome at monitoring these playgroups and ensuring all dogs are at their safest while interacting with each other. Molly is also great at providing encouragement and feedback to dog guardians during these social events. It is apparent that Andrea along with her staff truly care about your puppy and your family’s wellbeing as a whole. Andrea’s interpersonal skills alongside her dog training skills are perfectly coupled to provide guardians the confidence, reassurance, and guidance to give their furry companions the best life possible. I can confidently say that the combination of group classes, private lessons, and playgroups has truly changed our little puppy’s life for the better and we can’t thank Andrea and her team enough. We are proud to call ourselves members of the Hub pack!
