The K-9 Center

I cannot recommend Amanda & John at K9 Center highly enough. I’ve had dogs my entire life, but when I got my Airedale Terrier/Poodle mix puppy June 2020 I was having a difficult time training her. She is by far the smartest dog I’ve ever had, and by the time she was around 6 months old I realized I definitely needed some professional help! I am so glad that I found the K9 Center (and I wish I went to them sooner instead of struggling on my own). I signed up for their lifetime training program, which allowed me to do private classes with John until we were ready for our group classes with Amanda. We learned so much during all of our classes, (my favorite thing is the “place” command…which allows me to leave my dog Perdy on her bed anywhere we go & trust that she will not get off of it. This is so helpful whenever we go to other people’s houses, or even at the beach when I can count on her to stay wherever I tell her). The group classes helped Perdy learn how to be neutral around other dogs…before we started those classes she was so noisy every time she saw another dog because she wanted to be able to say hi. She walks so nicely on her leash now, no matter who is around. Overall, I learned so much from John and Amanda and I am very grateful for everything they have taught me. I now have the best behaved dog I’ve ever had which gives me so much peace of mind. Perdy is now the easiest dog to bring anywhere! We took our ACK Canine Good Citizen test a few months ago without any actual “prep” because all of the stuff she learned from the K9 Center helped her pass it easily. If you are considering going anywhere for training your dog, I suggest you choose The K9 Center…you definitely won’t regret it!!

As a first time dog owner, I was not sure what I was getting into. From the moment I called the K-9 Center to find out about a puppy to now starting obedience training with my pup, Amanda and the staff have but nothing short of amazing. Amanda takes the time to answer all your questions and everyone is extremely knowledgeable in dog training and behavior. I grow more confident in my dog and my own skills everyday thanks to Amanda and the K-9 Center. I recommend anyone who wants their dog to be a superstar check out the K-9 Center.

Where do i begin. I could sit here and write a essay, but lets be honest no one wants to read all of that. The K-9 Center is hands down one of the best board and train on all of Long Island. I came to Amanda because my sister had recommended Amanda’s services and let me tell you i am grateful i had listened. Amanda has been rémy’s trainer since he was four months old. Hes been through puppy training and currently finishing up adult training in a matter of no time thanks to Amanda. Amanda has been amazing with rémy and I, and has devoted so much time/patience with helping myself and rémy progress as a team these last couple of months. Thank you so much for all the help!! To whomever has read this post and decided to go to another training facility, all i have to say is your loss!
