The K9 Encounter

Excellent trainer and fostering a community of responsible and respectful dog ownership! Very knowledgeable and researches the science behind all his supplements and nutritional recommendations. Training is supreme in how quickly your dog can become well behaved, obedient, bonded, and confident if you put in the work with your dog! Tactical and home protection training is top notch as well, highly recommend!

We started training with our 10 week old puppy last fall. We had done basic puppy training with our other pups over the years but this dog training is the best experience we have ever had! The dog owners are taught how to train their dog in the best way to get consistent results with the commands that the dog is taught. The dogs are also exposed to distractions during every training session which teaches the dog to listen to their owner regardless of what’s going on around them. We also enjoyed getting to know the other owners and their dogs. Everyone encouraged each other as we all worked through the training sessions. We will use K9 cartel again when we get a new pup! Our family is very active, and we spend a great deal of time at baseball fields. It was imperative that we have a dog that can be well behaved in public and especially around children. Well, our Australian Shepherd 'Blue" was a jumper, a biter, a rip your skin off with his claws, and an explosion of the "zoomies". I watched a million YouTube videos and read many articles; and if I had treats, he was behaved. But who can walk around with treats all the time? I found Rob and the K9 Encounter and decided to give them a try. I was shocked to see Rob was able to correct many of those unwanted behaviors after just two visits. I also enrolled into the Group lessons because baseball fields are full of distractions (running children, screaming parents, loud music, other dogs, and trash to chew on) I needed Blue to be focused on me and my commands regardless of if I had treats. I am PROUD to report that at the baseball fields, many people approach Blue and love on him. I always hear "how did you get your dog to behave like that? He is so good!” I laugh and say, "with the help of a trainer". and then I give them K9 Encounter information. I highly recommend Rob and the K9 Encounter. Rob educated me on what I was doing wrong **yes, we humans get trained too**. During the group lessons he was able to address each dogs’ unique challenges, push the dogs to build a stronger relationship with their owners, and train the dogs on how to be focused and disciplined. During private lessons Rob is very knowledgeable, he listens to your concerns, and demonstrates how to properly correct misconduct. In addition, sometimes I felt like I was doing everything wrong, and Rob was very patient, encouraging, and extremely supportive. I will continue to work with Rob and the K9 Encounter and encourage you to try them out as well.
